“Na Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey Goodbye”… It’s been almost 18 years since the Cowboys won a Super Bowl. Yes those were the days back when Cowboys’ fans actually had something to brag about. That’s almost two decades and the playoffs are almost as scarce. Living on the edge, that’s what it’s like to be a true Dallas Cowboys’ fan, especially over the last decade or so. Yes, it’s only mid-season but the “heart attack boys” are at it again, just the same as it’s always been since their reign back in the day. There are some fans that had been fans for life but gave up watching the games all together because they couldn’t take anymore disappointment.… Read more

  • Jerry Jones is the worst owner in the NFL by far. He recently beat out Mike Brown and Al Davis for the tittle.Jerry is actually morphing into AL Davis.Lets look at the facts.
1.Al was completly in denial about his ability to function as GM.Check, Jerry
    2. Al hired coaches, set them up for failure and then fired them when thing didn't go right. Check, Jerry
    3. Al was tone deaf to change and delegating authority. check, Jerry.
    4. Al lived on past glory, refusing to admit that his organization was disfunctional, check, Jerry

The only thing missing is Al's track suit, fifties hair and the adult diaper he wore. Thats coming for Jerry soon.

Another Cowboys debacle against Falcons

After last night’s prime time loss – in which many folks are choosing to focus on whether or not Atlanta did enough to wow us, rather than on how Dallas failed to take advantage of an Atlanta squad that they held out of the ‘wow zone’ – those who are fans of the Cowboys are questioning their team, their quarterback, their owner and their coach. Nothing new there… but...

Garrett appears almost out of ideas

Whenever you study something long enough, you begin to see the trends and patterns and normal fluctuations that make them normal. They have happened before, they will happen again, and we should not all lose our minds when we see it because it is not that abnormal. However, there are other times, when sample sizes are big enough to really be a cause for concern. Every Tuesday,...

Jason Garrett should be Stripped of his Play Calling duties

Well, we’re officially halfway through the 2012 season and we’re sitting two below .500 at 3-5. What’s next for this team is anyone’s guess, what I do know is that Jason Garrett should either relinquish his play calling duties or they should be stripped in favor of Bill Callahan. For the remainder of the season, we should roll with Callahan and see where he can take us. There...

Cowboys coach Garrett keeping focus on next game

Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett is keeping his focus on the next game, the way he always does. As for any questions about his future, or the possibility of being replaced by Sean Payton, Garrett said his focus Monday was on cleaning up mistakes from Sunday night's loss at Atlanta and starting to prepare to play at Philadelphia. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he has '...

Seat getting warm for Jason Garrett

The day started off poorly for Cowboys coach Jason Garrett and ended even worse. Garrett was greeted with the news Sunday morning that the contract extension signed by New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton was voided by the NFL. That means Payton can sign with any team after the season. Payton is a former Cowboys assistant. Payton and his family still live in the Dallas area. Payton...

Monday Musings: Doug Martin’s heroic effort, Peterson’s big day for naught, another Dallas disappointment; and other notes from week 9

There  is no other way to lead a recap of Sunday’s games than with a discussion of Doug Martin’s effort. I spent the week talking about how the loss of the best guard in football may have an impact on this line (lets give Tampa’s o-line some credit, too) and the run game. Martin and his teammates proved me wrong on game day. Oakland fought valiantly to stay in this game, but...

Atlanta 19, Dallas 13: Just Enough Mistakes to Lose

Jason Garrett (Princeton graduate, left) tries to remind Mike Smith (East Tennessee State University graduate, right) about the value of an Ivy League degree on an NFL sideline.  When the schedule came out for the 2012 season, most (including me) looked at December, because that’s when the Dallas Cowboys usually implode. Then we looked at the middle of the schedule—three straight...

Add Sean Payton to Garrett's list of problems

Sean Payton could haunt Jason Garrett in Dallas.

Fantasy Football Week 9 Preview: Cowboys at Falcons

The melodrama that is the Dallas Cowboys head to Atlanta to take on the 7-0 Falcons.Dallas Cowboys (3-4): Tony Romo has been sharing the ball with the other team often over the last four weeks.Romo has thrown ten interceptions over that span to only five touchdowns. Romo still has the ability to throw for enough yards to make him fantasy worthy.DeMarco Murray has been ruled out for...

Sunday Night Football: Falcons remain unbeaten with 19-13 win over Cowboys

The Atlanta Falcons improved to 8-0 on the season with a 19-13 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Falcons QB Matt Ryan threw for 342 yards while Michael Turner had a good night on the ground with 102 rushing yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile Cowboys QB Tony Romo threw for 321 yards and a touchdown with WR Kevin Ogletre had three receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown...

Week 9 Observations

The best thing that could happen to Jason Garrett would be for his kicker and punter to resign mid-game. There's no doubt Dan Bailey and Brian Moorman already feel bad for enabling that kind of cowardice. It would be nice if Doug Martin (four catches, 21 yards) were more involved in the passing game. The Colts had four receivers with 75 or more yards. ...
