Despite never considering the implications of the products hilarious name, the Jacksonville Jaguars have begun to sell team towels known as a “Jag Rag” (Credit: Dead Spin)
In case you have not had enough news about NFL towels recently, we have one more. From Ray Rice “disrespecting” the Pittsburgh Steelers terrible towel to LaMarr Woodley “warning” Ray Rice over his treatment of the team’s towel.
Now, the Jacksonville Jaguars want to find a way to get in on all of this towel business. The team will be selling, the hilariously named “Jag Rag” to fans. Apparently the team never considered what exactly goes into the name of a product because Jag Rag would not be my first choice.
According to DeadSpin, Bert Sparks, the entrepreneur and Jacksonville native behind the Jag Rag, is certainly earnest about his endeavor to unite Jaguars fans with his Jag Rag. On his site, a slogan boasts that the Jag Rag is “The Spark of a New Beginning” for Jacksonville’s organization.
So you ask, exactly how much would I have to pay if I wanted my very own Jag Rag? The rags are on sale for just ten dollars.
I know what I am getting the DownAndDistance crew for Christmas…..a whole slew of Jag Rags for their own personal use.

Steelers poised to make Superbowl run, thanks to Ray Rice
ThePittsburgh Steelers may be only 6-5 entering this weeks game against rival Baltimore, but it’s not unfamiliar territory for the six-time Superbowl champs. In 2005 the Steelers were 7-5 after three straight losses and rallied together to win out the remainder of the season and eventually go on to win the Superbowl. There is one more situation that is becoming eerily connected...

Ravens QB Joe Flacco Admits Ray Rice Saved Him Vs Chargers
While Ray Rice continued to bask in the glow of his 29-yard, catch-and-run on fourth-and-29 against the San Diego Chargers, quarterback Joe Flacco admitted that he didnt do any reflecting on the play and he didnt plan to.
We got away with one and Ill be glad. I could have looked like a big-time idiot if we dont get that play, Flacco said. I kind of went out on a limb...
4 crazy things Ravens fans say
Any NFL team has its share of crazed fans, whether it’s the guy that dresses like the team’s mascot for every home game, or wears nothing but team colors all week at work, or the guys that constantly harass anyone wearing another team’s colors. After reading a lot and browsing through friend’s posts on Facebook I’ve come to realize there are four main points people make...

NFL Says Officials Got 4th-And-29 Call Right, But Review Took Too Long
Last Sunday, the Chargers out Chargers-ed themselves: they blew a 10-point lead against the Ravens in an eminently winnable game, the nadir coming when Baltimore's Ray Rice converted a 4th-and-29 late in the fourth quarter. A few plays later, the Ravens would kick the game-tying field goal before notching the victory in overtime.
That fourth-down play has been scrutinized...
The Backdoor Cover: Week 13 NFL Picks
Did anyone watch the Chargers/Ravens game last week? If you saw last week’s Backdoor Cover you know I had the home San Diego. What a way to lose a game.
Much was made of Ray Rice converting a 4th and 29 to keep the game alive. He didn’t even make it I mean, by at least a yard. By the time it was reviewed, the chains had already moved so the refs didn’t know where exactly they...

- Do you dare dive into the Pittsburgh backfield after last week's eight-turnover debacle?
- Are you fearful of Marshawn Lynch and Matt Forte in a battle of NFC playoff hopefuls?

Steelers Need Max Starks To Continue His Iron Man Season Or Else
The injury bug has certainly taken its toll once again on the Pittsburgh Steelers and this past week it was rookie tackle Mike Adams and linebacker LaMarr Woodley that were dinged up enough in the loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday to have their names added to the list.
Adams was ruled out by head coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday with an ankle injury , while Woodley was termed...
