Despite never considering the implications of the products hilarious name, the Jacksonville Jaguars have begun to sell team towels known as a “Jag Rag” (Credit: Dead Spin) In case you have not had enough news about NFL towels recently, we have one more. From Ray Rice “disrespecting” the Pittsburgh Steelers terrible towel to LaMarr Woodley “warning” Ray Rice over his treatment of the team’s towel. Now, the Jacksonville Jaguars want to find a way to get in on all of this towel business. The team will be selling, the hilariously named “Jag Rag” to fans. Apparently the team never considered what exactly goes into the name of a product because Jag Rag would not be my first choice. According to DeadSpin, Bert Sparks, the entrepreneur and Jacksonville native behind the Jag Rag, is certainly earnest about his endeavor to unite Jaguars fans with his Jag Rag. On his site, a slogan boasts that the Jag Rag is “The Spark of a New Beginning” for Jacksonville’s organization. So you ask, exactly how much would I have to pay if I wanted my very own Jag Rag? The rags are on sale for just ten dollars. I know what I am getting the DownAndDistance crew for Christmas…..a whole slew of Jag Rags for their own personal use.
