Jacksonville Jaguars middle linebacker Paul Posluszny staggered off of the field in obvious pain during the team’s season finale against the Indianapolis Colts, but until now it has been a mystery how extensive his injury was.
According to Tania Ganguli of The Florida Times-Union, Posluszny had surgery to repair a partially torn labrum in his left shoulder earlier this month.
Although the injury should not prevent Posluszny from missing any games in 2012, he will not be able to keep up his conditioning this off-season as he recovers from the surgery. Getting healthy will be his primary concern for him and the Jaguars over the break, as he has emerged as one of the leaders of the Jaguars re-tooled defense.
In his first season with the Jaguars, Posluszny racked up 192 tackles with two sacks and two interceptions.

What can the Jaguars do with the 7th pick?
Although the NFL draft is still 3 months away, I’m starting to have issues with the 1st round pick of the Jaguars. Picking at 7 is generally a good thing to boost your roster (just think to Joe Haden and Aldon Smith – the 7th picks of the draft in 2010 and 2011), I started to feel that the Jaguars will be in No-Man’s-Land with theirs in 2012. I think the Top 5 picks...
