After finishing 2-14 last year the Jacksonville Jaguars want to look forward and forget the past. It looks like the team is doing everything to move on. Today the Jags unveiled their new Nike uniforms. Team owner Shad Khan thinks that they are “awe-inspiring.” Khan went on to say, “There’s no reason not to win now. We can’t blame the uniforms.” Obviously the owner was joking since the jersey doesn’t make a team better. (unless the Jags think that) Nike went with a new idea for the Jags helmet. It has a two-toned color theme to it. In the front it is black and then fades into a gold in the back. Nike told the press that there was a story behind the new helmet. They said it was like “a Jaguar on the hunt,” edging from darkness into light. So far the new uniforms have been getting rave reviews from the team. Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said, “I look at the jerseys and I think (they’re) awesome.” Wide receiver Justin Blackmon was the team’s model to show off the new duds. The team also wanted to pay respect to the military which they did by placing a patch on the jersey. “The military-style badge is our way of saying thanks,” Khan said. If you are looking to purchase these new Jags jerseys you can get them online this Thursday. Last year Nike took over outfitting the NFL. The first team to get a new look was the Seattle Seahawks. The Jags are just the second team to get a brand new look.
