JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed receiver Mike Sims-Walker on injured reserve and were awarded receiver Brian Robiskie off waivers from Cleveland.
Sims-Walker, signed two weeks ago after being cut by St. Louis, injured a knee in Sunday's game at Houston.
Robiskie, a second-round draft pick in 2009, has 39 career receptions for 441 yards and three touchdowns. He caught three passes for 25 yards in six games this season. The Browns waived him Tuesday.
Robiskie had 29 receptions for 310 yards and three touchdowns while starting 11 of 14 games in 2010.
Picking up castoffs Sims-Walker and Robiskie shows how desperate the Jaguars (2-6) are to try to upgrade a receiving group that has dropped balls, struggled to get open and provided little help for rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert.

It is a whole new beginning for Brian Robiskie, he was waived by the Browns to make room on the roster for another running back. Robiskie will be playing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. I’ll bet Robiskie will be able to make a name for himself in Jacksonville. Robiskie may even become one of those ex Cleveland players that hits stardom on another team. I always liked Brian...
The Jaguars have claimed 23-year old WR Brian Robiskie off waivers from the Browns. Robiskie played in 6 games for the Browns this year and he caught 3 passes for 25 yards (8.3 avg). He has now played in 31 games in his first three years in the NFL and he has caught 39 passes for 441 yards (11.3 avg) with 3 TD grabs. This is a case of desperate times call for desperate measures...
The Cleveland Browns waived Brian Robiskie this afternoon to make room for another running back. Robiskie now becomes the Cleveland Brown with out a job at the time being. Robiskie has been used very little this year. If the Browns had the services of Peyton Hillis and didn’t have to go out and get another running back one would think Robiskie would still be in a Cleveland Uniform...

The Cleveland Browns released Brian Robiskie yesterday when they needed a roster spot for another running back after injuries to Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty.
Many of us were rooting for Robiskie since the Browns drafted him out of Ohio State. That said, Eric Mangini and George Kokinis were crazy to draft him at the top of the second round in their disastrous 2009 draft....
Yesterday the Browns cut bait with yet another second-rounder from the 2009 NFL draft. First it was #52 overall David Veikune after he was beaten out by undrafted player, Marcus Benard. Now Brian Robiskie. The 36th overall pick was cut loose after a pretty disappointing career in Cleveland for a guy who was thought to be one of the more “NFL ready” prospects in the draft...
With running backs Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty injured, the Browns needed to add a running back for Week Nine. They signed Thomas Clayton. Then, the Browns needed to create a roster spot. And they waived receiver Brian Robiskie. A second-round pick in the 2009 draft, Robiskie was touted as the most game-ready wideout of…
With only four healthy receivers on the roster, the Dolphins decided not to put a claim in on former Clevelenad Browns’ wide receiver Brian Robiskie.
