According to Peter King of Sports Illustrated, he's heard it's possible Jacksonville Jaguars starting cornerback Rashean Mathis could be had for a mid-round draft pick. Does this mean Rashean Mathis is being shopped and could be traded by the NFL trade deadline next week? Highly doubtful. Not only is Mathis still the best defensive back on this football team, but with the injuries to Derek Cox you're already thin in the back end already. While guys like William Middleton and Kevin Rutland have played well in spot duty, unless the Jaguars are blown away by an offer, it would seem like giving up.
