Cornerbacks Rashean Mathis (groin) and Derek Cox (back) were downgraded from limited participation on Wednesday to no activity on Thursday. If Mathis and Cox can’t play for a second straight game, Aaron Ross and Will Middleton would likely start. Also, fullback Greg Jones (hip) and center Brad Meester (foot) did not practice on Thursday. Already ruled out for the Detroit game are running back Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) and safety Dwight Lowery (ankle). Running back Montell Owens (shoulder) was limited while quarterback Blaine Gabbert (left shoulder) and receiver Laurent Robinson (concussion) did full work for the second straight day. The Jaguars are struggling with injuries and a lack of talent.  They should trade for Tebow and at least sell out the stadium.   Denver at Cincinnati - The Boncos and Peyton Manning have things rolling now on both sides of the ball.  Don't forget that the Broncos played great defense and special teams last season and they were able to run the ball.  You add...

Jag sign RB Toston, waive rookie LB Marshall

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed running back Keith Toston and waived rookie linebacker Brandon Marshall again. Toston spent the preseason with the Jaguars before being waived on final cuts. He was re-signed last week and returned two kickoffs for 49 yards against Green Bay. He was waived Tuesday, replaced on the roster by Marshall. Toston could...

The Jaguars will be without cornerback Rashean Mathis Sunday against Detroit because of a groin injury and could be without Derek Cox because of a back injury. Mathis did not practice today and was ruled out on the team’s injury report while Cox did limited work after taking Thursday off and is listed as questionable. “Had a helmet. Practiced. Ran around. Had fun,” Cox said...

NFL Rumors: Mike Mularkey To Donate To Charity When Jacksonville Jaguars Act Like They Have Been There With Touchdowns

Mike Mularkey wants his Jacksonville Jaguars to act like they have been there before when it comes to scoring touchdowns this season. Unfortunately, for many of them, they have not. Still, that has not stopped Mularkey from implementing a rule that stipulates the head coach donating $250 to a charitable organization every time the Jaguars simply hand the ball to the referee after...

Jacksonville Jaguars: Week 9 NFL Power Rankings (#32)

Last week: 32 (+0) Record: 1-6 The Chiefs are bad, but I still think the Jaguars are the worst team in the league, in spite of the fact that they hung with a banged up Green Bay squad. In rate of sustaining drives differential, they rank dead last at -15.0%. No one else is worse than -10.3%. In yards per play differential, they rank dead last at -1.2. No one else is worse than 0...

Report linking Tebow trade talks to the Jaguars pulled

At some point at least once per year, the Jacksonville Jaguars are linked to Tim Tebow. During the offseason, Tebow was seemingly traded to the Jets before the deal nearly collapsed, bringing the Jaguars into play. It never worked out for the Jaguars, and Tebow was shipped to New York. Once again, the Jaguars have been linked to Tim Tebow by a report that came out today -- kind of...

Detroit Lions can’t look past Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Jaguars are 1-6, in the cellar of the AFC South, and haven’t won a game at home yet this year. Looking at this matchup, it’s obviously a game that the Detroit Lions should win. The game will be played in Jacksonville, and airs at 1:05p.m. on Fox. In the NFL this season, with parity at an all-time high, if the Lions take that attitude into this game they will...
