The Jacksonville Jaguars foiled the plans of the Tennessee Titans by claiming tackle Troy Kropog off waivers on Wednesday.
The Titans released both Kropog and defensive end Pannel Egboh from their roster on Tuesday to make room for the return of Kenny Britt from suspension and to add newly signed guard Deuce Lutui to the 53-man roster.
Tennessee had plans to stash Kropog back on the practice squad had he cleared waivers.
The 2009 fourth-round pick from Tulane was a backup for his first two seasons with the Titans and spent 2011 on the practice squad. He played on special teams in the opening loss to the New England Patriots this year.

Tennessee Titans: 2012 Week 2 Power Ranking (#11)
Last week: 8 (-3)
Record: 0-1
This is the last of the rankings that don’t make any sense, I promise. Before the season, I had the Titans as better than the Ravens. Are Titans better than Ravens? Probably not, but I’m not flip flopping after 1 week. I’d rather just be wrong than flip flop and turn out to be right all along. The Titans ran into the wrong team last week, while...
Britt back with Titans after injury, suspension
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Kenny Britt is on the field once again for the Tennessee Titans, back both from a torn right ACL and three different knee surgeries and a one-game suspension by the NFL.
How much he helps remains to be seen.
Britt tore both his anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligament early in the Titans' third game last season. He had little practice time with...
Jake Locker Gets Good News On MRI

Titans quarterback Jake Locker (shoulder) had an MRI on Monday which showed no structural damage, according to an ESPN report.Fantasy Spin:Locker left Sunday's game after injuring his non-throwing shoulder. Titans' Britt to see limited action in his first game Sunday
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt returned to practice Wednesday after missing the first game because of a one-game suspension, and he is expected to see only limited action in Sunday's game against San Diego. Titans coach Mike Munchak said Britt will play in the "15- to 25-snap range," according to The Tennessean. Besides the one-game suspension that resulted...
CJ: Career-worst 4 yards on 11 carries looks bad
Titans running back Chris Johnson knows the numbers look pretty bad.
The man nicknamed CJ2K for his 2,006-yard rushing season in 2009 started this season with just 11 carries for a career-worst 4 yards in a 34-13 loss to New England. As bad as last season was after his holdout for a contract extension, Johnson never ran for less than 13 yards in a game.
Johnson said Thursday he...

After a let down of a season in 2011, the Titans and Chris Johnson himself were hoping he would turn back into his old self in 2012. After rushing for just four yards on eleven carries against the New England Patriots on Sunday...
Kenny Britt will have a limited role this Sunday
Now that Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt has served his one game suspension, he’ll be back in action on Sunday as Titans will face off against the Chargers.
The Titans don’t plan on throwing Britt right back onto the field without slowly working him in, according to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean.
Munchak said Kenny Britt will play in the 15 to 25 snap range on Sunday...
NFL Rumors: Why Titans RB Chris Johnson Will Not Run Wild Against Chargers
Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson turned in quite a shoddy performance in the team’s 34-13 opening weekend loss at home against the New England Patriots. He carried the ball 11 times, but was able to gain just four yards. Johnson was downright awful, and it may not get much better in week two when the Titans travel to the west coast to take on the San Diego Chargers....
Jake Locker on track to play this week
According to John Glennon of The Tennessean, Titans quarterback Jake Locker said that his shoulder felt great today, which likely means he’ll be good to go this coming Sunday.

Titans Have No Plans To Reduce RB Chris Johnson
In Tennessee, coach Mike Munchak said the team isn't going to bench Chris Johnson or take away his carries, this all sounds very familiar. (Especially to Johnson's 2011 fantasy owners.)
"I think we'll roll with who we have," Munchak said. "C.J. caught six balls. He did a good job there. He's still a big weapon there."
Johnson wasn't a big...

Ryan Mouton tells Aaron Hernandez what his gameplan is
Down 21-10 in the third quarter, Ryan Mouton decided it would be the perfect time to trash talk to one Aaron Hernandez. Yeah, the same one that found the Grand Canyon of openings against the Titans defense in the first for a TD.
