Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton had successful surgery performed on his eye on Sunday and is resting at home, the Jacksonville Times-Union reported.
Knighton suffered the injury after an incident near Pure Nightclub in Jacksonville earlier in the morning. Additional details were not disclosed.
"We are in the process of gathering information about what happened and are not able to further comment at this time," the Jaguars said in a statement. "Our concern and our focus is on Terrance and his health and recovery."
Knighton, 25, had 29 tackles in 13 games last season.
