Shack Harris would have drafted Tim Tebow!
Next time a Jaguars fan wants to curse the man responsible for the team’s current struggles they won’t be able to find him here in Jacksonville.
Jack Del Rio and Gene Smith have been popular targets for Jaguars fans who have quickly forgotten what terrible shape Shack Harris left the Jaguars roster in when he was let go after the 2008 season.
Harris, who was in charge of the Jaguars personnel from 2003-2008, built the roster the way he saw fit for six seasons here in Jacksonville. What he gave the franchise was a couple free agent busts and a terrible string of first-round draft picks.
Next time you look at the current Jaguars roster and are left wondering why a majority of the team is young and inexperienced, look no further than the terrible draft classes brought in by Harris.
Of the six first-round draft picks taken in the Harris years, only two remain on the Jaguars current roster and only one of those has actually proven he was worth ...
