Found February 04, 2013 on NFL Trade Rumors:
Jacksonville Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell is “not completely discouraged” with starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert, per Jaguars.com. “Hopefully we can have a little foundation here were have the same system, and we’ll see where it takes us,” Caldwell said in an interview on the Mike Dempsey show on 1010XL. Caldwell also talked about how Gabbert is still young (the second-youngest QB in the NFL). Gabbert, the Jaguars’ first-round pick in 2011, has failed to live up to expectations thus far, and his third year will be a telling one. Jacksonville has already stated that they intend to hold a quarterback competition next season, so he’ll have to hold off Chad Henne and likely others too.
