The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced that they will be
without running back Maurice Jones-Drew this Thursday when they take on the
Indianapolis Colts, and the team could also continue to be without cornerback
While Jones-Drew’s injury, which he sustained Week 7 against
the Oakland Raiders, was initially feared to be of the season-ending variety,

this year, the injury could sideline him for several more weeks. The Jaguars
have already listed the running back as questionable for their game in two

Mathis has been sidelined by a groin injury for the past two
weeks, and he was listed as one of the players that wouldn’t have participated
in practice if the Jaguars had held more than a walk through on Monday. There
appears to be a good chance he sits again with the Jags on a short week.
Safety Dwight Lowery also wouldn’t have practiced yesterday,
while running back Montell Owens, center Brad Meester and defensive back Derek
Cox would all have been limited.
