Despite the Jacksonville Jaguars injury issues at running back it doesn’t appear they will be getting Maurice Jones-Drew back this weekend. Coach Mike Mularkey told reporters, including Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.com, that Jones-Drew is “very questionable” for Sunday’s matchup against the New York Jets. Just not a very good chance: Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey said today that Jones-Drew is “very questionable” for Sunday’s game against the Jets. Jones-Drew has been sidelined for six straight games due to a foot injury, and it’s not looking like he’ll be back on the field this weekend to help his team take on the Jets. Jacksonville lost backup running back Rashad Jennings to a concussion last weekend. Given it’s a head injury, his status for this weekend seems to be very questionable. If Jones-Drew and Jennings are both out against the Jets, the Jaguars will likely go with a platoon of Montell Owens and Richard Murphy, according to Smith.
