Found October 18, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
The Jacksonville Jaguars are having a season to forget. The Jags are 0-6 thus far in 2013, and it is hard-pressed to think they’ll win more than one game (if that) this year. The wide receiver position has been decimated of late, with the team’s leading receiver, Cecil Shorts, suffering a sprain in his SC joint in his right shoulder. Shorts was seen showing a full-range of motion in the locker room yesterday, and will be a game-time decision for Sunday afternoon’s hosting of the San Diego Chargers at 1 P.M. EST. Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon has played like a man possessed since his return from a four-game suspension stemming from a violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy, testing positive for performance enhancing drugs. Blackmon has accrued 19 receptions for 326 yards and 1 touchdown in only two games, and has easily been the most productive Jaguar when on the field. Blackmon is currently working through hamstring and groin troubles, but is expected to play against San Diego this Sunday. Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley has confirmed the expectation, stating that Blackmon is “progressing well.” The Chargers are only favored by 5.6 points this week, leaving many to wonder what type of Kool-Aid Vegas is drinking. The Jaguars will be cautious with Blackmon, making the decision to withhold from practice on Friday in order to let his minor injuries heal. The Jaguars will be without rookie wide receiver Ace Sanders, and are now slated to start Justin Blackmon, Mike Brown, and Stephen Williams. Brown and Williams have 14 receptions combined in their careers, leading one to believe that Blackmon will again be the feature of the Jaguars offense with running back Maurice Jones-Drew playing uninspired football in 2013.

Jags seek their first win against the Chargers

If I didn’t know any better, I would have guessed the Jacksonville Jaguars would have won last week against the Denver Broncos. Of course that is not the case, but listening to talk radio and the excellent reviews that the all-hallowed ESPN gave them, you would have thought that they might have pulled out a squeaker. There were some good things happening to be sure, and watching...

Jaguars News and Notes: Blackmon, Shorts Expected to Play; Sanders Ruled Out

Jaguars interested in bringing back RB for right price

Maurice Jones-Drew's days with the Jacksonville Jaguars might not be limited to just 10 more games as many have speculated. According to Michael DiRocco of ESPN the team is "interested in bringing Jones-Drew back as long as it's not for big money." Now the question that bears asking is: What exactly is "big money"? The biggest money Jaguars general manager...

Jaguars’ Cecil Shorts Game-Time Decision

The Jacksonville Jaguars have the worst offense in the NFL this year, averaging only 11.7 points per game. That simply will not get the job done. The third-year wide out is having a standout year...

Jaguars News & Notes: Gus Bradley Sees Improvement in his Troops

The one thing that Gus Bradley never loses sight of when it comes to his Jacksonville Jaguars is that the team continues to move forward. San Diego Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars: 2013 Week 7 NFL Pick

San Diego Chargers (3-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (0-6) What an accomplishment for the Jacksonville Jaguars! They covered the spread last week for the first time and this season, only losing to the Broncos by a mere 16 points. In all seriousness, the Jaguars could be kind of flat after putting everything they had into that game and coming up short. Now they return home to face the...

Jacksonville Jaguars: 3 Keys to a Win over San Deigo

With a possibility of the return of Marcedes Lewis in the near future and a defense that looks like it may have turned a very small corner last week, the Jacksonville Jaguars go into Sunday’s game with a touch of confidence - more so than it has had at anyone one time this season. There are no “moral wins” in football and reaching double digits in points and tightening up on...
