Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan doesn't want to have any ''knee-jerk reactions'' to his team's losing ways. The Jaguars (1-7) have dropped five in a row and are 0-4 at home this season heading into Thursday's game against Indianapolis. Khan, who stayed in town for the short week, made it clear Wednesday that he won't make any changes before the end of the season. He says the ''most important thing is not to have knee-jerk reactions when things get tough - not to add drama to uncertainty.'' There had been speculation that Khan might fire general manager Gene Smith and maybe even coach Mike Mularkey, but the owner put that to rest. He says it ''will be something for me to reflect on at the end of the season.''

Scout: Justin Blackmon isn’t explosive or quick enough

Many people are surprised at how unimpressive Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon has looked so far during his rookie year. One NFL scout told Albert Breer of the NFL Network that Blackmon lacks the explosiveness and quickness to be an NFL wide receiver. “(Blackmon has) really hurt Gabbert,” one scout told NFL Network’s Albert Breer. “I’m not sure his speed, or lack thereof...

The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced that they will be without running back Maurice Jones-Drew this Thursday when they take on the Indianapolis Colts, and the team could also continue to be without cornerback Rashean Mathis. Jacksonville Jaguars: Where do the Jaguars go from here

This picture dictates just how bad the season has gotten for the Jacksonville Jaguars and their fan base. At 1-8 there isn’t much else that could go wrong for this team, they lost their RB Maurice Jones-Drew 4 weeks ago with an ankle injury and he was the only player on this team worth watching. The Jaguars are now 2 years into the Blaine Gabbert experiment, and while his failures...

I’m deeply grateful to the fans for supporting us. They’ve done their part. Now we have to do our part.” “Whether it’s a football team or an auto parts company, you need three things...

Jacksonville Jaguars: Week 10 NFL Power Rankings (#32)

Last week: 32 (+0) Record: 1-7 The Jaguars lost at home by 17 to the Lions last week and some people are crediting the Jaguars’ trade of Mike Thomas to the Lions right before the game as part of the reason. The move was actually a good one for the Jaguars because they were able to get rid of his contract and get something in return for a guy who was no better than their 4th receiver...

The Jacksonville Jaguars have beaten the Indianapolis Colts in their last three meetings.  This year in week three the Jaguars beat the Colts 22-17 in overtime.  The game was in Lucas Oil Stadium. This is a home game for the Jaguars.  The Jaguars are horrendous at home. The Carolina Panthers are the only home team to lose a game in this year's Thursday Night games.  Can...

Penalties plague Jaguars in loss to Colts

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Inspiration one week, domination the next. The Indianapolis Colts became the latest team to hammer the Jacksonville Jaguars at home, winning 27-10 on Thursday night behind two rushing touchdowns from rookie quarterback Andrew Luck. Jaguars look to get things rolling vs. Colts

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- It wasn't that long ago that Indianapolis and Jacksonville played for the division title. Less than two years, in fact. Both teams have changed coaches, quarterbacks and other personnel since. It's pretty clear which one is further along in the rebuilding project. The Colts (5-3) have won three straight heading into Thursday night's game...

Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars: Week 10 NFL Pick

Indianapolis Colts (5-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-7) Every once in a while I kick myself for not taking a line the week before. I’ve never put money on an early line, but here’s one instance I wish I had. Jacksonville was -1 last week. Even if Indianapolis had lost to Miami, I would have put a big play against Blaine Gabbert as a favorite. Aside from the obvious Blaine Gabbert...

Thursday Night Football: Colts Seek Revenge In Jacksonville

Indianapolis and Jacksonville always keep things interesting between them, even if apart they are far from interesting.Jacksonville has been absolutely atrocious this season.Kansas City, who has yet to hold a lead, have been compared to the infamous 2008 Lions (0-16). Kansas City has accumulated -107 net points on the season while on their way to a 1-7 record. Jacksonville has -102...

Jaguars 3, Colts 17; halftime thoughts

At halftime, the Jaguars trail the Colts 3 to 17, and the big difference in the game hasn't been in respect to the two teams' quarterbacks. Blaine Gabbert has played well to this point, as has Andrew Luck. Both quarterbacks have similar numbers, but Andrew Luck has been helped more by the rest of his team than Gabbert has. It's at this point that I'd like...

We present to you to the Jacksonville Baguars (photo)
