The Jacksonville Jaguars placed running back Jalen Parmele (groin) and cornerback William Middleton (concussion) on season-ending injured reserve and released wide receiver Micheal Spurlock safety Chris Harris. Cornerback Antwaun Molden and wide receiver Quan Cosby were signed to the 53-man roster, running back Jordan Todman was signed off the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad and wide receiver Toney Clemons was signed off the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad. Defensive end Ryan Davis was signed to the Jaguars' practice squad. Parmele had been assuming a larger workload in the backfield with Maurice Jones-Drew still sidelined by a foot injury, but was injured during Sunday's 24-19 victory over the Tennessee Titans. He finishes the season with 143 yards on 40 carries. Rashad Jennings will again become the primary ballcarrier until Jones-Drew returns, with Todman likely to see action as well. Middleton, a fourth-year player, started three of 10 games this se...

It’s interesting that Parmele has landed on IR since he came back into this past week’s...
Jaguars signed RB Jordan Todman off the Vikings practice squad.
Todman’s addition is a sign that Jalen Parmele (groin) is unlikely to play after dragging his leg through the hole in last week’s game. Expect Rashad Jennings to start at Buffalo with Todman adding depth as the third-stringer behind Montell Owens.
Todman played college football with the UConn. He finished his...
Call them Jacksonville's unsettled seven.
The Jaguars (2-9) have seven pending free agents - key guys who opened the season as starters - who have five games remaining to do enough to land new contracts.
It's a tough spot for all of them, especially considering they have seemingly cost themselves millions on the open market.
Defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, guard Eben...
Until Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars hadn't held a second-half lead at home all season.
No wonder it nearly caused problems.
Moments after Cecil Shorts III caught a pass from Chad Henne and raced 59 yards to give the Jaguars a 14-6 lead in the third quarter against Tennessee, two offensive linemen tried to jump into the stands to celebrate. Luckily for the Jaguars, rookie...

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been a very bad team for several seasons. Their offense has struggled over the last two seasons while the defense has been equally as bad. QB Blaine Gabbert was placed on the injured reserve list last week and Chad Henne was told that he is auditioning for a role with the team for the 2013 season. So far, Henne has responded well.
Henne entered the Jaguars...
Just two weeks ago the Jaguars were on pace to receive a consolation prize for the 2012 season, that being a no. 1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. That pick would bring with it a hefty decision – whether the team should pursue a quarter back to replace Blaine Gabbert. Not to jump ahead of ourselves; I acknowledge that Jacksonville is not a Super Bowl team after splitting a pair of divisional...
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have claimed two-time Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Babin off waivers from Philadelphia.
The Jaguars (2-9) will pay the remaining 1.69 million of Babin's 2012 salary, essentially taking a low-risk look at someone who could significantly upgrade one of the league's worst pass rushes.
Jacksonville has a league-low 13 sacks...
The Jacksonville Jaguars won the race to claim former Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Jason Babin off waivers Wednesday in an attempt to improve their pass rush. Eight teams tried to land Babin, NFL.com reported, but the Jaguars had the second highest position on the NFL's waiver claim list and took advantage of it. The Eagles released Babin on Tuesday. The Jaguars will...
Jason Babin didn’t have to wait very long before being claimed off waivers.
The recently released Eagle was picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday.
The defensive end was released by the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday and a total of eight teams put in a waiver claim on him, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Jacksonville was awarded Babin’s services because the team...
Jason Babin has been claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars, a source close to Babin told Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. A total of eight teams placed a claim on the 32-year-old defensive end, according to Rapoport.
As Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com notes, the next question becomes whether “Babin will make noise about being involuntarily shipped to a bad team which now...
