Nearly two months later, Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey remains coy about the foot injury that has kept running back Maurice Jones-Drew out for eight consecutive games.
Mularkey said Monday at EverBank Field that Jones-Drew did not sustain any broken bones when he went down in the first play of the Jaguars Week 7 overtime loss at Oakland. He wouldnt confirm or deny Jones-Drew sustained ligament damage.
I can tell you this: Based on his position and what he has to do, this kind of injury is different than for maybe a lineman, Mularkey said. Everybody is different with their pain tolerance. I cant compare him to anybody else because I dont know how hes feeling. Some guys come back from torn ACLs [Minnesotas Adrian Peterson] and lead the league in rushing; some guys take longer to come back.
Mularkey said Jones-Drew will be worked out Tuesday to gauge his progress and labeled him as questionable to play Sunday against New England.
Obviously we would like to have him back because hes a special back [at] full go or almost at full go, Mularkey said.

So what now for the Jacksonville Jaguars?
The Jaguars (2-12) traveled to Miami to take on the Dolphins (6-8) and their performance did not disappoint, if you expected to see horrendous, practically unwatchable football. It was a boring, ugly and downright tough game to watch. There were obvious mistakes, penalties and a lack of competitiveness throughout the course of the game. The end result was Jacksonville losing 24-3...
