Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings was a fantasy darling leading up to the regular season, prior to Maurice Jones-Drew ending his holdout. Since then, he has plummeted. He gained just 40 total yards in Week 1 and had fewer touches than Jones-Drew because a knee injury forced him to be a spectator for the entire second half. He has filled a similar role during practice this week. Jennings didn't practice Friday, finishing off a full week of no practice for him, and he's not expected to play Sunday versus the Texans.

Maurice Jones-Drew says he wasn’t fined 800K by the Jaguars

According to Gene Ferrette of the Florida Times-Union, Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew denies that he was fined $800,000 by the Jags for holding out throughout training camp. Jones-Drew repeatedly emphasized that it was inaccurate, saying: “Make sure you guys report that was false.” The Jaguars’ running back declined to be specific about any fine amount...

Jaguars likely to be without 4 starters this week, Rashad Jennings out as well

The Jaguars had a nice little opener in a near road win over the Minnesota Vikings Blaine Gabbert looked serviceable, completing 23 of 39 for 260 yards, 2 touchdown, and no interceptions. Minnesota’s secondary is crap, but I was very impressed with Gabbert’s poise under pressure. I didn’t like the matchup for Gabbert because of his struggles under pressure last season. Minnesota...

Jones-Drew denies report of $800,000 fine

Maurice Jones-Drew said an NFL.com report that he was fined $800,000 for his holdout was "false" but declined to say how much he was fined. Jones-Drew was expected to be brought along slowly after his 38-day contract...

Jaguars won't have any home blackouts in 2012

The Jacksonville Jaguars won't have any blackouts this season. They don't even want to use the term, either. And if things go as planned under new owner Shad Khan, empty seats at EverBank Field also will be a thing of the past. Team president Mark Lamping says the Jaguars will have every home game on local television in 2012, and in an effort to remove blackouts from the...

Jaguars Release OT Troy Kropog, Promote OT Daniel Baldridge

The Jaguars continued to tinker with their offensive line depth on Saturday, releasing Troy Kropog and promoting Daniel Baldridge from the practice squad. Kropog was awarded to the Jaguars earlier this week on waivers after playing for Tennessee in last week’s opener against New England. Baldridge was part of the Jaguars’ final cuts on Aug. 31 and signed to the practice squad...

Jaguars Sunday Primer: 3 Things to Watch

Divisional games for the Houston Texans always seem to be an adventure for the team, especially when the Jacksonville Jaguars are involved. Despite the Texans taking both games in 2011 (24-14 and 20-13), there is reason to use caution in their first meeting in 2012. Look no further than the Jaguars best player in Maurice Jones-Drew and what he can get between the tackles and moving...

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars: Week 2 NFL Pick

Houston Texans (1-0) at Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1) Blaine Gabbert looked serviceable in the opener against the Vikings, completing 23 of 39 for 260 yards, 2 touchdown, and no interceptions. Minnesota’s secondary is crap, but I was very impressed with Gabbert’s poise under pressure. I didn’t like the matchup for Gabbert because of his struggles under pressure last season. Minnesota...

With the slew of injuries in Jacksonville as of late, Sunday’s game may...

Vikings DT Letroy Guion Fined For Hit On Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert

One hit on Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert was recognized as dirty by the NFL office but another wasn’t. Per ESPN 1500 in Minneapolis, Vikings defensive tackle Letroy Guion was docked $7,875 for landing on Gabbert after he had been tripped up for a sack.
