Tired of the age old antics of showboating after a Touchdown, Jaguars Head Coach Mike Mularkey says he will donate $250 to the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville for every touchdown scored without a celebration after. The Jaguars organization is in on the donations too, and they will match Mularkey’s $250 for a total of $500 each time.

We’re hoping the Jaguars can find the endzone several times this season, as a non-celebratory act will benefit the community, and if they get to the endzone consistently, fans of Jacksonville will be proud of a team that has pulled it together.
This reminds me of the great Barry Sanders, who would score a Touchdown and toss the ball back to the Official like nothing ever happened because he knew he’d find himself there again. Not that there’s anything wrong with celebrating, as it brings a lot of fun (and flags) to Sunday afternoon, but seeing such a great thing by the Head Coach and Team is awesome.
