The Jaguars have signed second-year RB Keith Toston and waived rookie DE Ryan Davis to make room for Toston on the roster, the team announced Tuesday.
Toston was with the Jaguars through the 2012 preseason and showed decent production, picking up 171 yards on 22 carries with a 42-yard touchdown, but didnt make it past the final wave of cuts. He joined the Rams as an undrafted rookie in 2010 and played in every game that season as a reserve.
Davis made the Jaguars' opening-day roster as an undrafted free agent but had only played in one game this season.
Toston was likely signed to provide depth after starting RB Maurice-Jones Drew left Sunday's game against Oakland with a foot injury. Source: Pro Football Weekly Attached Thumbnails
