According to the Associated Press, even though the Jacksonville Jaguars have a 1-7 record, they plan on sticking with second year quarterback Blaine Gabbert. Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey doesn’t believe you can blame one guy. “I don’t think it’s one guy,” Mularkey said Friday. “You always go to that guy. Not in here. Everybody is held accountable for why the offense is not functioning at a high level consistently, and I think that goes for everybody. That’s including the coaches. “Everybody’s responsible, I believe, and I think we can always make each other better. Each position can play off of each other, but we’ve all got to play at a high level and coach at a high level for it to go. Not just one guy.”   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })(); sr_adspace_id = 1000005525107; sr_adspace_width = 300; sr_adspace_height = 250; sr_ad_new_window = true; sr_adspace_type = "graphic";

Blaine Gabbert to remain QB for Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Despite a six-game losing streak and more offensive ineptitude, the Jacksonville Jaguars are sticking with quarterback Blaine Gabbert. Coach Mike Mularkey says he has no plans to switch to backup Chad Henne following Thursday night's 27-10 debacle against the Indianapolis Colts. Gabbert completed 18 of 31 passes for 209 yards, with an interception...

Jaguars' Mularkey unwavering in support of Gabbert

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey is willing to risk his future on the right arm of quarterback Blaine Gabbert. With the Jaguars at 1-8, Mularkey needs some victories if he is going to keep his job. But he's sticking with Gabbert even though the quarterback has suffered a shoulder injury twice in the past four games, is running the worst offense in the league...

21 NSFW ‘Frustrated Jaguars Fans Lobbing F-Bomb After Colts Loss’ Tweets

Blaine Gabbert, Mike Mularkey and the Jacksonville Jaguars have hit rock bottom. They’re 1-8 and just got spanked on prime-time 27-10 by the Colts…at home. Jaguars fans are at their wits end. Some are encouraging the team re-locates. Some are wishing injury to their “franchise” quarterback. The worst tweet? Courtesy of a bro @StoneColdCowboi who took out his frustration on...

Jacksonville Jaguars: Where do the Jaguars go from here

This picture dictates just how bad the season has gotten for the Jacksonville Jaguars and their fan base. At 1-8 there isn’t much else that could go wrong for this team, they lost their RB Maurice Jones-Drew 4 weeks ago with an ankle injury and he was the only player on this team worth watching. The Jaguars are now 2 years into the Blaine Gabbert experiment, and while his failures...

Jaguars 3, Colts 17; halftime thoughts

At halftime, the Jaguars trail the Colts 3 to 17, and the big difference in the game hasn't been in respect to the two teams' quarterbacks. Blaine Gabbert has played well to this point, as has Andrew Luck. Both quarterbacks have similar numbers, but Andrew Luck has been helped more by the rest of his team than Gabbert has. It's at this point that I'd like...

Fantasy Football NFL Injury News: Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew Two Weeks From Return?

Out with a foot injury since the October 21 game against the Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew said that he may be only two weeks away from returning to game action. It was always thought that the injury to MJD would not be season ending, but for fantasy football owners who held on to the Jaguars’ best player or were fortunate to pick him up...

Penalties plague Jaguars in loss to Colts

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Inspiration one week, domination the next. The Indianapolis Colts became the latest team to hammer the Jacksonville Jaguars at home, winning 27-10 on Thursday night behind two rushing touchdowns from rookie quarterback Andrew Luck. Darius Butler returned an interception for a score as the Colts (6-3) won their fourth consecutive game and snapped a three...

We present to you to the Jacksonville Baguars (photo)

@jwyattsports At one time the New Orleans Saints were so bad they referred to their team as the “Aints.” Now Jacksonville Jaguars fans are so down on their team that they consider them the “Baguars.”     var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI...

Blueprint for a rebuild

Last night's game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars was one of the worst NFL games in my recent memory. The final score wasn't outrageous (27-10 in favor of the Colts), but the way the Jaguars lost was just ugly. At 1-8, the Jaguars are the worst team in the NFL, and their play has regressed so far this season. With so much going wrong, it appears...

Jaguar fans add a twist to the bags over their heads

The Jacksonville Jaguars are a bad football team, with no hope at all. They are a throwback to the Detroit Lions of a few years ago, and most notably, the New Orleans Saints of the 80s. They have adopted a … Continue reading →
