Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis will play Sunday vs. Carolina despite a painful calf injury.
Lewis admitted to FoxSports.com on Sunday that he is hurting but will take the field in Jacksonville's offense, which is giving rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert his first start.
Lewis had career highs of 58 catches, 700 yards and 10 TDs last season. He had two receptions for 28 yards in the season opener and sat out last week.
Zach Miller is Lewis' backup.
