It has been a year since Jahvid Best last played in the NFL. Yet, the running back believes he will be able to resume his career. Best has been out since Nov. 16 of 2011 after suffering a concussion.
After being honored with the Ed Brock award Best spoke saying he is hopeful of returning to football.
Best said “They told me I can’t say this season but they didn’t shut the door,”
“Me as a person, I’m a glass half full kind of guy. If you don’t shut the door then there’s still a way.”
Best is also not letting the missed 2012 season bother him.
“To me it’s just a minor setback and I’m still working and still staying ready because when I do get my chance I’m going to be ready.
While Best believes he is symptom free he has yet to find a doctor who will clear him to play. The Lions were hopeful that he would return to the team at some point this season but that will not happen.
The Ed Brock award is given to a player of each team for exemplify commitments to the principles of sportsmanship

I’m a huge Lions fan, perhaps the biggest one that I know. I love this team and want them to do well, but even I think that Ndamukong Suh is out of his mind if the Lions are going to win “multiple Super Bowls” in the future.Sure, add some free agents and a few good draft picks, and this team is gonna be a powerhouse. The problem I have with him saying this, is not that...
More than a week after he was sent home from Allen Park and asked to stay away from the team, troubled Lions WR Titus Young returned to practice Wednesday morning.
Young, who at times has been visibly disruptive during games was sent home after the Green Bay game a couple weeks ago due to his selfish behavior.
Young’s return was somewhat of a surprise especially since head coach...
Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said that WR Titus Young is “potentially” done for the season after the wideout missed practice on Tuesday, per Anwar Richardson.
“It’s more of when he gets back with the team, if he gets back with the team,” said Schwartz.
Young has had an attitude issue for the last few months or so in Detroit, starting when he fought Louis Delmas during...
Ndamukong Suh will not be suspended. For now.
The NFL decided Monday not to suspend Suh for the controversial lineman’s kick to Matt Schaub‘s groin during the Lions-Texans Thanksgiving game. It was the right call by the NFL, but we’d all be crazy to think Suh won’t land in hot water again at some point, and the Lions therefore need to start taking matters into their own hands...

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says it's very difficult for the league to judge whether Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh intended to kick Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin area.

Lions wide receiver Titus Young is still in exile.
Young wasn't at practice Tuesday and his status remains very much in doubt. He was deactivated for the Lions' 34-31 loss to Houston on Thanksgiving for what coach Jim Schwartz described as ''unacceptable'' behavior during the previous weekend's loss to Green Bay.
