Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles told the Kansas City Star that he’s gotten his “mojo back” after tearing his ACL last season.

“I feel good,” Charles said. “I feel like I got my mojo back. I feel happy. I feel comfortable out there, and I’m ready to go. My legs feel fresh.” Charles added that he’s able to make cuts like normal on zone plays in the Chiefs’ revised running scheme.

The good news is that the Chiefs signed running back Peyton Hillis in the offseason, which should take some of the load off of Charles and hopefully help him stay healthy.

Fantasy Football: Can Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles Return As RB1 in 2012?

Kansas City Chiefs star running back Jamaal Charles exploded onto the scene in his second season with 1,120 rushing yards (1,417 total yards) and eight touchdowns in 2009. He followed his breakout season with another monster year in 2010, racking up 1,467 rushing yards (with 468 yards on 45 receptions) for eight scores.  After missing almost all of last year (just 83 yards on 12...

Kansas City Chiefs 2012 NFL Season Preview

In 2010, the Chiefs made the playoffs, winning the AFC West with 10 victories. In 2011, they won just 7 games, but suffered major injuries to Jamaal Charles, Eric Berry, Tony Moeaki, and Matt Cassel. Charles went down for the season week 2. Moeaki missed the entire year, as did Berry, with the exception of 5 snaps in the opener before tearing his ACL. Cassel, meanwhile, missed 7...

Offensive Line Fantasy Value of the Kansas City Chiefs

I can sum up the 2011 Chiefs season with one word…..INJURY.  Before Halftime of their week 2 game, the Chiefs had lost CB Eric Berry, TE Tony Moeaki and RB Jamaal Charles.  To a team that is so dependent on the run, the loss of Charles was the nail in the coffin.  Myself, like many other Fantasy Owners, had picked Charles early in the first round expecting another 6 yard per...

Peyton Hillis looking dominant at Chiefs camp

First year Chief Peyton Hillis is looking like the 2010 breakout fantasy star that scored 13 total touchdowns as a member of the Cleveland Browns. According to a report by Bucky Brooks of NFL.com: “After suffering through a miserable 2011 campaign, Hillis looks ready to be a key contributor for the Chiefs. He reported to camp in outstanding shape and is running the rock with the...

Kansas City Chiefs: Jamaal Charles & Hillis Among 3 Dynamic Duos

It is unfair to give the Chiefs' offense anything but an incomplete grade for last season. The offense was built around the dynamic talents of Jamaal Charles and his spit-take-inducing running style, lost to a torn ACL in Week 2, and a passing game with timing-based short and intermediate routes.   After tight end Tony Moeaki was lost with a torn ACL in the preseason and Jonathan...

Roethlisberger, Haley promise to play nice

LATROBE, Pa. -- Todd Haley laughs about it, Ben Roethlisberger shrugs. Neither believe anything will deter them from winning games for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The quarterback and new coach shrug off concerns about two strong personalities uniting, offseason chatter be dadgumed. Haley called called the worries "comical." "I've heard some of it just through feedback...

2012 NFL Preview: AFC Training Camp Battles

Hard to believe, but with training camps having begun and August already here, the 2012 NFL season is mercifully at our doorstep. That means fewer ‘Stephen Strasburg is going to get shut down’ stories and more ‘HOLY CRAP, TIM TEBOW IS SHIRTLESS IN THE RAIN!!!’ stories. Thank. God.   Even better, the 2012 NFL pre-season arrives with no lockout-related...
