One of the beautiful things about football is it’s truly a team sport. You’re defense can be stellar and not allow points, while you’re offense is walking up the field scoring lights out. However that can all be wiped away with one bad play. Sometimes you can put in all the effort in the world, but the cylinders on other levels aren’t clicking. When you’re doing everything humanly possible correct what more can one person do? In addition to being the NFL’s all-time leader in yards-per-carry among RBs, Kansas City Chief Pro Bowl RB Jamaal Charles has decided to remain optimistic in his journey on the football field. Despite his team finishing with the worst record in the league, Charles manage to propel to higher levels  while breaking Jim Brown’s record in the process. Charles is looking forward to working with the new additions to the Chiefs such as: Coach Andy Ried and QB Alex Smith. NotesFromUndergroundTV.Com caught up with the Texas native this past week in Austin enjoying the SXSW festivities. Charles talked about the direction the Chiefs are going, his love for the Spurs, and his next career in Djing. Some interesting tidbits from the interview were the fact Charles likes to dabble on the 1s and 2s entertaining people as a DJ, which could be a well-received post-football career. DJ J Charles knows how to get the locker room moving and grooving it appears. He doesn’t just stop with the turn tables, Charles knows his basketball too. Although the world may find the Spurs boring and old, one person who doesn’t is Jamaal Charles. He hasn’t forgotten that Oklahoma City hurt the Spurs chances to getting to the finals last season, and is hoping this year they are able to redeem themselves. It will be interesting to see what transpires for the Kansas Chiefs and Jamaal Charles. The Chiefs have added some nice components to both sides of the field. Now that they have paired a new coach and QB with an unstoppable running back in Charles, this will be an interesting season for the Chiefs.  At least one thing is for certain, after the win we already have a DJ lined up in place for the celebration.

2013 NFL Mock Draft: Kansas City Chiefs Pre-Draft Strategy

Season SummaryIt would be an understatement to say that the 2012 Kansas City Chiefs were a disappointment.  Local radio was fielding calls talking about Super Bowl chances after the Chiefs methodically dismantled the Arizona Cardinals in week one of the preseason. But the excitement died shortly into the regular season. The Chiefs did not take a lead until week 10 of the season.  What...

There Are No ‘Winners’ In March

General manager John Dorsey (left) and the Chiefs have been busy adding players I have to admit I get a little frustrated at this time of year. Not because GM Ted Thompson refuses to pay average players like superstars, but because he refuses to pay anyone. I keep waiting for him to add another Ryan Pickett to the roster, but it hasn’t happened in the past seven years and it...

One of the key themes for the Ohio State football team as it tries to compete for the 2013 national championship will how it replaces the four departed starters on the defensive line. There's a long way to go but DL coach Mike Vrabel thinks at least four guys will step up among his talented group.
