The return JaMarcus Russell to the NFL project is underway at Jeff Garcia’s TEST Football Academy in California where the meatball QB is trying to get his bloated corpse back into shape for an April Pro Day. Russell, who hasn’t played in the NFL since 2009 and has a career record of 7-18, is trying to make a comeback after being paid $36 million by the Raiders as the #1 overall pick in 2007. From what we can see out of Camp JaMarcus, it doesn’t look like the QB hopeful spent the winter hitting the treadmill. He’s still bloated. He’s easily winded. He has little to no definition in his legs, which look like spaghetti noodles. Garcia has his hands full. Instead of working on mechanics, Garcia’s team has spent the last few days trying to shed pounds off Mt. St. JaMarcus, who reportedly showed up to TEST Football at 308 pounds. The pool: The jacuzzi: The girth: The determination:   The crew at Bleacher Report is doing a player documentary on Mt. St. JaMarcus, and if week one is any indication, the guy can throw a spiral and moves like a turtle. The depressing part of this comeback is that Russell seems to have just got up on a random day in late December or early January with thoughts of a comeback. Is it all about money for this guy? Hasn’t it always been about money? Redemption? Highly doubtful. We see a guy who would willingly hold a clipboard for a cool million and be completely satisfied with life. Don’t be shocked when this ends with biggin’ complaining of a knee or shoulder injury that derailed his comeback. [@TEST_Football]   Filed under: Football
