We knew that rookie starting linebacker Jarvis Jones was probably going to be held out of practice for a few days with what we first heard was a head injury. But now things have progressed, more tests have been done, and the Steelers have announced that the head injury is, in fact, a concussion. Jones let doctors know about his symptoms on Monday. He has been tested and treated since then without practicing. The Steelers announced that the concussion was diagnosed by team doctors on Wednesday night. If Jones doesn’t play Sunday, Jason Worilds would take his starting spot at outside linebacker across from LaMarr Woodley. If, by some miracle, Jones is able to play Sunday's home game vs the Ratbirds and chase Flaco all over the field, it will be based on how quickly he progresses through the league’s concussion protocol.
