Pro Football Zone:
The Dallas Cowboys have to be one of the most entertaining NFL franchises in league history.
Earlier today owner Jerry Jones made it clear that offensive coordinator Bill Callahan is the new play caller. Now Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett refuses to admit that he’s no longer running the offense.
Jason Garrett refuses to acknowledge bill Callahan as play caller. Typical cowboys

Jason Garrett wouldn't confirm the play caller despite what Callahan said. Garrett is taking questions about Callahan's abilities to do it.

Garrett was asked would he like to see information released differently from how Jones does it, "i think u can draw your own conclusions."

Until Jones stop undermining his coaches, his team will never win another Super Bowl because the players don’t respect the coaches.

Jason Garrett has finally acknowledged that he won't call plays for the Dallas Cowboys next season.
The Cowboys coach said Tuesday that Bill Callahan will assume a role Garrett has had since joining the Dallas staff in 2007.
Garrett said the decision was made five months ago but he was reluctant to share it because he's been around coaches who never revealed play-callers...
IRVING, Texas Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett was asked after Tuesday's OTA workout at Valley Ranch if it fair to conclude that he and owner Jerry Jones have different philosophies as to how information is disseminated.
"I think,'' Garrett deadpanned, "you can draw your own conclusions."
The central issue of this discussion is assistant Bill Callahan...
Blame Jimmy Johnson.
This latest Cowboys cluster bleep and forcibly prying play-calling duties from coach Jason Garrett's now hog-tied hands qualifies as yet another in a long line of them has origins in The Jimster.
When Cowboys owner Jerry Jones drunkenly dished "any one of 500 coaches could have won those Super Bowls" and Jimmy basically said "have fun with...
Jerry jones says Callahan will be play caller. Decision made weeks ago, per jones
This is pretty good news for Dallas Cowboys fans, especially with the newer guys out there. Bill Callahan is a pretty solid offensive coordinator that will do a great job for the Cowboys. Expect Romo’s numbers to go up, as well as Dez Bryant’s. The Cowboys now...
The delivery of the news is "uniquely Jerry" where communication skills seem forever stuck in reverse, and complete with comedy ensuing. Think about the true joy of being a principle member (Say, Bill Callahan or Jason Garrett) of a rather significant news story and surrounded by the leering press and to be asked about questions where you are not sure whether or not your...
It is never a good sign for the head coach when the owner takes away his play-calling duties. It undermines his authority with the entire team.
Jason Garrett has never seemed to be in charged of the Cowboys, at times last year it appeared Rob Ryan was acting more like the head coach than Garrett.
Even though Garrett has bristled at the notion that play calling should be taken out...
Bill Callahan will call the plays for the Dallas Cowboys in 2013.
So says owner Jerry Jones, and even Callahan confirmed it. Just don't expect acknowledgement soon from coach Jason Garrett, the play-caller since joining the staff in 2007.
After Jones strongly suggested Tuesday that Callahan would call plays and the former Oakland coach said it was ''a real honor'...
In the aftermath of the Cowboys' bumbling announcement that Bill Callahan will call offensive plays in 2013, it's time to take a closer look at how this happened. Owner Jerry Jones made it pretty clear he wanted this change soon after the Cowboys missed the playoffs for the third consecutive season.
But he never made any public demands of that nature, allowing at least the...
So, are you ready to know who's officially going to be in charge of the Cowboys offense next season?
When speaking to the press on Tuesday, Dallas Cowboys ownergeneral manager Jerry Jones let the world know his decision.
It is going to be Bill Callahan, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Jones said that the decision on who would be calling the plays next season for Dallas was...
It's coming up on the beginning of a new season for the Dallas Cowboys. With that beginning comes new optimism, along with the normal expectations of competing for the Super Bowl, something the Cowboys haven't been able to do for quite sometime. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, there is another thing we've become accustomed to when it comes to talking about "America...
(Photo Credit: Gary Tramontina/Associated Press) It was just another day at Valley Ranch, as Jerry Jones was doing Jerry Jones things, until the Dallas Cowboys’ owner let slip that Jason Garrett will no longer be the playcaller for the Silver and Blue. Instead, that job will fall to offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Bill Callahan, who [...]The post Bill Callahan is the...
Cowboys beat reporter Clarence Hill, Jr. reported Tuesday that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has stripped his hand-picked head coach, offensive-minded Jason Garrett, of play-calling responsibilities.
As to who will call the Cowboys offensive plays, Jones appointed those duties to offensive coordinator Bill Callahan.
By taking away Garrett’s best asset, the question becomes why...
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn’t sound very concerned that his draft board ended up being leaked out for the second time in four years by Blogging the Boys.
“I can certainly appreciate the sensitivity of our draft board [during] the draft,” Jones said on Tuesday, per the Dallas Morning News. “I don’t look at it as a very sensitive issue at all. I’m a little hard...
