Jason Whitlock is Scared of Me

It doesn't take long to get someone's opinion on Jason Whitlock - he's one of the more polarizing figures in the Kansas City sports scene. Most people either love him or hate him. He's been called opinionated, contraversial, racist, insightful, and pretty much any other adjective you can think of. I would like to add one more - spineless. A week or so ago, I wrote a post on whether or not Mike Brown could come in and be the Chiefs' version of safety Rodney Harrison. Since it's July (a dead time in the NFL) and I had pretty much abandoned this blog for the last four months, it wasn't my most read piece. Thankfully though, Mr. Whitlock changed all that. On July 4th, he posted this article - which looks familiar. Even right down the the title of the piece. Now - I'm a no-name blogger with little to no credibility whatsoever - but even so, I think it's a little low of Whitlock to blantantly steal an idea. I have emailed Jason several times, and he has not gotten back to me. I won't be holding my breath expecting a response. Thankfully, though, you readers HAVE got back to me - en masse. Thanks to all of you who have emailed, responded on message boards and offered your support. We will consider this a victory for small-market bloggers who are now the farm system for big-market mainstream writers. Maybe next time, I'll send Jason a list of ideas to make his job a little easier.
