If they really want to improve (have shown little action as to improving) they need to lock Garrett out of the locker room!

Shatter The Backboard:
Jerry Jones told Bob Costas over the weekend that Jones the owner would have fired Jones the G.M. by now. After Sunday night’s loss to the Falcons, the Cowboys may have tried to fire both guys.
According to Matt Barrie of NBC 5 in Dallas, “Jerry Jones just pounded [the] locker room door because no one would let him in. It’s the angriest I’ve seen him all year.”
Like him or not, the guy owns the team. He has every right to be in the locker room after the game. So we can understand why he’s mad.… Read more

The only way the Dallas Cowboys are going to go to the Super Bowl is for them to buy a ticket and watch it in the stadium seats. This team has been plagued with injuries, and bad strategy all season. Jones and Garrett have to go if the Cowboys ever hope to make it to the Super Bowl again. Jason Garrett was a "counterfeit quarterback" when the players went out on strike a few years back. Now he was come back as the "counterfeit coach."

Whether or not the Cowboys are just going through the motions or not, that’s the perception this team has displayed all year to its fans. And can you blame the fans for perceiving the Cowboys play as anything other than going through the motions? What really disappoints and frustrates me as a Cowboys fan are the penalties! There needs to be more discipline on both sides of the ball. These men are professionals and need to be held accountable for their actions, Jimmy Johnson sure made them. If it’s not the offensive linemen jumping off sides it’s the defensive linemen jumping off sides. And as far as the offense goes, the talent is there. There have been times such as the three straight TD drives against the Giants and the six of six completions Tony Romo had against the Falcons to score on a big TD drive but it’s so sporadic. It’s almost like the Cowboys play to just hang around instead of coming right out of the gate and smashing their opponent in the mouth and keeping their foot on the throttle until the last second ticks off the score board. Just look at some of the scores from the 1992 Cowboys team. Six of the 16 games the Cowboys scored 30 points or more and won all six games. When they scored 20 points or more they won 5 of six games. And as far as the playoffs, they won 34-10 against Philadelphia, 30-20 against San Francisco and the 52-17 dismantling of the Buffalo Bills in the Super Bowl. I think it’s clear! Enough said!

The Cowoboys were on defense in the second half when D Ware wasn't blocked and clocked Mat Ryan. The next play was third down & 8. Garret called a time out for some reason and gave Ryan time to clear his cob webs. They came back to the line after the time out and made a 15yard pass for a first down. I thought it was a dumb thing to do when we had them on the ropes. Garret calls time outs when he shouldn't and doesn't call time out when he should.

If they could just lock him out of valley ranch now

Another Cowboys debacle against Falcons
After last night’s prime time loss – in which many folks are choosing to focus on whether or not Atlanta did enough to wow us, rather than on how Dallas failed to take advantage of an Atlanta squad that they held out of the ‘wow zone’ – those who are fans of the Cowboys are questioning their team, their quarterback, their owner and their coach.
Nothing new there… but...
Garrett appears almost out of ideas
Whenever you study something long enough, you begin to see the trends and patterns and normal fluctuations that make them normal. They have happened before, they will happen again, and we should not all lose our minds when we see it because it is not that abnormal.
However, there are other times, when sample sizes are big enough to really be a cause for concern. Every Tuesday,...
Cowboys Injury Report: Tony Romo, Jay Ratliff, DeMarco Murray
The Dallas Cowboys have announced that injuries quarterback
Tony Romo and defensive lineman Jay Ratliff sustained against the Atlanta
Falcons are minor, reports Nick Eatman of CBSSports.com. While they are each
expected to play Sunday, the status running back DeMarco Murray remains in
question as he continues to rehab his sprained foot.
Ratliff was diagnosed with a low-ankle...

Jason Garrett should be Stripped of his Play Calling duties
Well, we’re officially halfway through the 2012 season and we’re sitting two below .500 at 3-5. What’s next for this team is anyone’s guess, what I do know is that Jason Garrett should either relinquish his play calling duties or they should be stripped in favor of Bill Callahan. For the remainder of the season, we should roll with Callahan and see where he can take us. There...
Cowboys coach Garrett keeping focus on next game
Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett is keeping his focus on the next game, the way he always does.
As for any questions about his future, or the possibility of being replaced by Sean Payton, Garrett said his focus Monday was on cleaning up mistakes from Sunday night's loss at Atlanta and starting to prepare to play at Philadelphia.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he has '...
Jerry Jones sees himself in Dez Bryant
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says that wide receiver Dez Bryant is doing better at not making so many mistakes off the field. He also said that Bryant reminds him of himself at his age.
“What I see from Dez Bryant is an evolving. And he is getting better. He’s– better as a player,” said Jones per the Dallas Morning News. ” He’s– has– certainly continues...
Seat getting warm for Jason Garrett
The day started off poorly for Cowboys coach Jason Garrett and ended even worse.
Garrett was greeted with the news Sunday morning that the contract extension signed by New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton was voided by the NFL. That means Payton can sign with any team after the season.
Payton is a former Cowboys assistant. Payton and his family still live in the Dallas area. Payton...
Monday Musings: Doug Martin’s heroic effort, Peterson’s big day for naught, another Dallas disappointment; and other notes from week 9
There is no other way to lead a recap of Sunday’s games than with a discussion of Doug Martin’s effort. I spent the week talking about how the loss of the best guard in football may have an impact on this line (lets give Tampa’s o-line some credit, too) and the run game. Martin and his teammates proved me wrong on game day. Oakland fought valiantly to stay in this game, but...
Atlanta 19, Dallas 13: Just Enough Mistakes to Lose
Jason Garrett (Princeton graduate, left) tries to remind Mike Smith (East Tennessee State University graduate, right) about the value of an Ivy League degree on an NFL sideline.
When the schedule came out for the 2012 season, most (including me) looked at December, because that’s when the Dallas Cowboys usually implode.
Then we looked at the middle of the schedule—three straight...
Jason Garrett Aware Of Sean Payton Rumor, Takes Responsibility For Cowboys' Struggles
Cowboys coach Jason Garrett acknowledged Monday that he is aware of speculation about Sean Payton being a possible candidate to take his job if Payton becomes a free agent after this season.
But it is not something Garrett will be dwelling on as the Cowboys (3-5) seek to end a two-game losing streak Sunday at Philadelphia.
Certainly, some people bring those kinds of things...
Add Sean Payton to Garrett's list of problems
Sean Payton could haunt Jason Garrett in Dallas.
Sunday Night Football: Falcons remain unbeaten with 19-13 win over Cowboys
The Atlanta Falcons improved to 8-0 on the season with a 19-13 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
Falcons QB Matt Ryan threw for 342 yards while Michael Turner had a good night on the ground with 102 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile Cowboys QB Tony Romo threw for 321 yards and a touchdown with WR Kevin Ogletre had three receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown...
Week 9 Observations
The best thing that could happen to Jason Garrett would be for his kicker and punter to resign mid-game. There's no doubt Dan Bailey and Brian Moorman already feel bad for enabling that kind of cowardice.
It would be nice if Doug Martin (four catches, 21 yards) were more involved in the passing game.
The Colts had four receivers with 75 or more yards.
