Fox Sports Southwest:
ARLINGTON, Texas - DeMarco Murray appeared to injure his shoulder on his final run of the first half Sunday. However, after going to the locker room 13 seconds before the half had ended, Murray carried nine times in the second half, proving that it wasn't that serious.
Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones confirmed those thoughts after the game, saying if it was serious, he would have been notified.
"I'd already gotten word that it was just precautionary," Jones said of the early trip to the locker room. "It wasn't a concern."
Murray had 71 yards in the first half and finished with 135.
"They said it was no issue," said Jones, who would not confirm if it was a shoulder injury. "They just thought they'd take him on in. Gosh, the amount of hits he took out there today, I think it's probably everything.
"It's not notable, or they would have called and told me."

It’s the question every Dallas Cowboy fan has been asking themselves since rookie running back DeMarco Murray ran over, around, and through the St. Louis Rams to the tune of 253 yards in Week Seven: What is Head Coach Jason Garrett going to do when starting running back Felix Jones returns from injury? Those, who at first, answered that question by saying they’d start Jones over...
Tony Romo has a new best friend. Or, he should have, anyway.
DeMarco Murray, rookie running back out of Oklahoma, has given the Dallas Cowboys’ offense what it has lacked since Emmitt Smith left for the Arizona desert: A legitimate threat at the halfback position. And that has made Tony Romo a more effective quarterback.
Romo completed 23 of 26 passes on Sunday for...
Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones is set to return Sunday from a high ankle sprain, but impressive rookie DeMarco Murray will remain the starter, team owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday.
Jones, who opened the season as the team's lead rusher, has missed the past four games but is expected to practice this week and play at Washington.
Murray has flourished in Jones' absence...
Felix Jones, be afraid. Be very afraid. There’s a new sheriff in town and his name is DeMarco Murray. Okay, forgive my lame attempt at humor; I was just trying to ease the tension. Anyway, while I hate to be the bearer of bad news Mr. Jones I regret to tell you that your time as a member of the Dallas Cowboys has essentially come to an end. Sorry but that’s life in the NFL. You...
Well, I’m married!
What? You think you’re going to lure me in with your dreamy first play of the drive touchdowns? That’s how you rope us in, you little Lothario.
Well, STOP IT! And by that, I mean, DON’T STOP!!! You’ve seduced Mr. CowboysChick, too. We’re in love!
And if that’s not weird enough for you, let’s talk about someone else my husband and I have a football...
DALLAS As of this moment, the Dallas Cowboys have the upper hand in the NFC East. And yes, I realize the New York Giants technically hold a one-game lead based on their 6-3 record.
At worst, the Cowboys (5-4) should be in a tie for first in the division when they host the Giants on Dec. 11. The schedule makers were incredibly kind to the Cowboys during the holiday season. They...
It was the combination of a near perfect day for quarterback Tony Romo and another outstanding rushing performance from running back DeMarco Murray that lead to the Dallas Cowboys big win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, 44-7. Romo started the game perfect going an amazing 13 for 13 passes. And the rookie Murray helped sealed the win by adding more grit and consistency from the...
It looks like we're finally going to get our answer about who the Cowboys' starting tailback will be for the rest of the season.
Jerry Jones took to the radio Tuesday morning to say that he expects Felix Jones will be in the lineup for this weekend's Redskins game. That means we will get our first look at the Cowboys' backfield with Jones active alongside DeMarco...
