NFL Injury Report:
One team’s trash is another team’s treasure. Josh Alper of NBCSports reports that the New York Jets have claimed former New England Patriots tight end, Zach Sudeld, off waivers on Friday. The Patriots released Sudfeld a day earlier after they signed former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver, Austin Collie. Sudfeld made the Patriots as an undrafted free agent this year and shined during the preseason but turned into Zach Dudfeld when the games counted. Over the past few weeks, Sudfeld's playing time diminished. It befuddles me as to why the Jets would claim Sudfeld unless it is to give one back to the Patriots for Danny Woodhead. Jets' TEs Jeff Cumberland and Kellen Winslowsee the majority of the snaps. In addition, head coach Rex Ryan and the Jets already know that Patriots' offense, probably better than Sudfeld. This move is a helmet scratcher, if not a useless one. However, it is the Jets so moves like this are expected. The Jets have picked up Zach Sudfeld, who was waived by the Patriots on Thursday.Fantasy Spin:Sudfeld's ADP soared after he was impressive during training camp and the preseason, but he failed to make an impact when the season started. He isn't on the fantasy radar at the moment, though he certainly could emerge as an option at tight end for the Jets later this season.
A good sign that a team is about to release you is when you barely play any snaps. That was the case for Patriots TE Zach Sudfeld. CBS Sports has reported that the Pats have decided to part ways with the player that was supposedly going to fill the void of Aaron Hernandez. That didn’t exactly go according to plan, but all hope for Sudfeld isn’t lost. If no one claims him from...

Well, isn't that funny.
The Patriots released struggling rookie tight end Zach Sudfeld yesterday, after the tight end did very little except fumble, cause interceptions, and drop onside kicks.
Still, the young player showed plenty of potential in training camp and the Patriots were likely hoping that he would land on their practice squad. Not if the New York Jets have anything...
This might be the news we have been waiting for. This may be a hint that Rob Gronkowski could be making his return to the Patriots line very soon. On Thursday, the Patriots released tight end Zach Sudfeld.

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports
After a strong camp, Patriots tight end Zach Sudfeld did very little to help himself.
