There was some debate about whether the Jets did the right thing by congratulating the team that trashed talked them the last few weeks, and often is looked at as their big brother.
I don’t have a problem with it, and think it was the right thing to do. The Jets should do a mea culpa after all their trash talk this season. Covering up the Giants Super Bowl trophies when the two teams played in December looked petty. The mural wasn’t even on the field; it was located in an area only the players and media could see. When you share a stadium with the other team, there is going to be paraphernalia of your neighbor. They always had the option of building a stadium out in Queens to prevent the landlord/tenant feel of the Meadowlands. The Jets were the ones that left Shea Stadium for Giants Stadium, to begin with.
