Jason La Canfora reports sources have informed him that New York Jets will be “hard-pressed” re-sign unrestricted free agents TE Dustin Keller, RB Shonn Greene and DT Mike DeVito. This comes in La Canfora’s report that suggests that the Jets are exploring the idea of trading CB Darrelle Revis this offseason. La Canfora adds that the Jets are expected to “make a push” to retain DeVito. They’ll need to clear some cap space before they can even consider the idea of re-signing some of their soon-to-be free agents, which is where the idea of trading Revis comes in. He represents their best trade chip at this point in time and reportedly counts $11.5 million against their cap in 2013, according to Spotrac.com. We have Keller (53) and DeVito (59) both listed in our Top 100 Free Agents list. The post Jets “Hard-Pressed” To Retain Dustin Keller, Shonn Greene & Mike DeVito appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.

Jets may trade Darrelle Revis?

The Jets reportedly are exploring the idea of trading Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis, who is recovering from a torn ACL in his knee.

Revis Is Worth More Than A First Round Pick

SI’s Peter King reports today that the Jets asking price for Darrelle Revis will be a first round pick, but it’s not enough to warrant getting rid of the game’s best cover corner. As long as the Revis legal team can somehow avoid a third contractual confrontation with Woody Johnson, we see no reason why new GM John Idzik should send Revis packing for the potential of some unknown...

Jets’ owner growing weary of Rex Ryan?

According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson may not be as devoted to head coach Rex Ryan as much as people think. Ryan was painted as the owner’s pet two weeks ago at the previous one-week-after-the-fact news conference. In the season-ending presser, Johnson acted like 6-10 never happened. He professed his faith in Ryan, even saying the embattled...

New York Jets – A Few Comments On Revis Trade Rumors

The Internet almost exploded last night from this report from Jason La Canfora, which in a nutshell said the New York Jets would consider trading Darrelle Revis this off-season out of a fear of being unable to sign him long term. First off, the sourcing on this report likely comes from the recent GM interviews, considering candidate Ted Sundquist has leaked what Woody Johnson said...

Tim Tebow: Great Man, Horrible Quarterback

When it comes to Tim Tebow the human being, there are few, if any, complaints. He is a man who is true to his faith and brings out the best in others. As a man, any mother or father would be proud to have a son like Tim Tebow. However being a great person has little to do with the skills needed to succeed in the National Football League. As a quarterback in the NFL, Tebow has a career...

Report: Tebow wasn’t forced on Jets’ owner

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson claims that he was forced to trade for quarterback Tim Tebow.  It now sounds like he wasn’t telling the truth. According to the New York Post, even though it was former general manager Mike Tannenbaum’s idea to acquire Tebow, Johnson owns the team and could have easily put his foot down and blocked the move. A league source with direct knowledge...

Revis is 'speechless' about trade talk

New York Jet cornerback Darrelle Revis took to Twitter Thursday and is scratching his head just like everybody else. As if the New York Jets needed more distractions, owner Woody Johnson just opened up a can of worms... I'm speechless by far but more importantly I feel more upset for the jet nation for having to go through this!!! — Darrelle Revis (@Revis24) January 24...

Report: Jets Considering Trading Darrelle Revis

If you are a team interested in trading for Darrelle Revis, I am warning you in advance.  Just because Adrian Peterson isn’t human doesn’t mean everyone who comes back from ACL surgery gets better.  Then there is the possibility of an “Nnamdi” happening. Plus, you never know how a player will be in a new system, so teams need to do their due diligence. According to CBS...

Chaos continues to surround the New York Jets

You’d be hard pressed to find another team in the NFL that is in as much current disarray than the New York Jets. The Jets have been dysfunctional for the last two seasons and the situation does not seem to be calming down anytime soon. Yesterday, news broke that Jets owner Woody Johnson told a general manager candidate that QB Tim Tebow was forced on him last season. Excuse me...

Report: Jets might trade Revis

While the New York Jets' season circled the drain, much of the focus remained on the team's quarterback situation. Mark Sanchez played poorly, and Tim Tebow almost never played. There was a big hole on the other side of the ball, though, as the star cornerback Darrelle Revis missed 14 of 16 games due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. That hole might...

Jets' GM: Revis trade talk 'premature'

New York Jets general manager John Idzik called any speculation that the team might trade star cornerback Darrelle Revis "premature." Making his introductory press conference, Idzik was asked about the CBSSports.com report that said Jets owner Woody Johnson is reluctant to give Revis a long-term deal coming off the torn ACL he suffered during the season. Revis is scheduled...

Mark Sanchez Seeks Out Jeff Garcia To Learn Mornhinweg’s Offense

Jets quarterback Mark  Sanchez may be down to his final shot as a starter in the league, and he’s doing his due diligence in learning all he can about his new offensive system. Manish Mehta of The New York Daily News is reporting that Sanchez has sought out and will pick the brain of Jeff Garcia who flourished in new offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg’s new west coast offense...

The Jets Are Interested In The Honey Badger

“I haven’t scripted any answers to any questions. This is the real Tyrann right now.” The New York Post neglected to add, “…as he hit the jumbo slow so it sizzled. Smoke filled the air around the reporters as he coughed and offered it up. ‘Yo somebody hit this. I gotta go cover some outs and slants.’” Of course the Jets are interested in Lue. Why not? It makes sense...

Goodell: Don't sweat weather for 2014 Super Bowl

Super Cold? NFL officials aren't just bracing for potential wintry weather at next year's Northeastern Super Bowl - they're embracing it, Commissioner Roger Goodell said Thursday. The first Super Bowl ever in the New York metropolitan area is almost exactly a year away in a region currently clenched by bitter cold, reviving chatter about whether the weather will chill...
