Winslow was drafted by the Cleveland Browns, with the 6th overall pick in the '04 draft.
After an injury in his freshman season for the Browns, and a motorcycle accident in his sophomore season, Winslow was able to produce on the field.
In 2006, Kellen Winslow Jr. had 89 receptions for 875 yards.
In 2007, Winslow improved to 82 receptions for 1,106 yards and 5 TD's, his best season on the books.
Since, he's been a bit of a journeyman, playing with Tampa Bay from '09 to ''11, and Seattle and New England in 2012. Winslow didn't end up hitting the field with the 'Hawks (cut), and with the Patriots, Winslow had just one reception for 12 yards, before being cut.
Winslow was a Mackey Award (Best TE) winner in college (Miami), and that is an accomplishment that staff writer Achilles Serrano, Jr. is very high on. Winners of the award have been generally successful in the NFL.
