The New York Jets will allow running back Mike Goodson practice on Tuesday despite a slew of charges hanging over his head stemming from his arrest on Route 80 in Denville, NJ last Friday morning, a source said, via the Associated Press.
Goodson and a friend were stopped in the center-left lane of road and just waiting to get pinched.
Goodson was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams), unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a loaded handgun, possession of hollow-point ammunition and possession of drug paraphernalia. His attorney Anthony Fusco Jr. says he'll be able to get the gun charges tossed by claiming it belonged to the passenger, Garant Evans, 31 of Roselle, N.J.
He has so far missd three OTA practices while he's out on bail. He plead not guilty to the charges Wednesday in Morris County Superior Court in Morristown, N.J.
The Jets front office has been silent on his status, but expect an update soon.
