New York Jets tight end Dustin Keller has injured his hamstring and is out for the rest of the preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. It was unclear when Keller was injured, but he appeared to go down quickly after a 24-yard catch on the Jets' first offensive play Sunday night. A few minutes later he walked to the locker room, and the Jets announced he was out for the rest of the game. Keller and the rest of the starters were expected to play into the third quarter. Keller led the Jets last season with 65 catches for 815 yards and five touchdowns.

Jets Drop Opportunity To Put Doubts To Rest

MetLife Stadium: Things were looking up.  Fans almost let out that sigh of relief. With 6:47 left in the first half—and the looming stat of being the only team in the NFL not to have scored a touchdown this preseason—rookie Quinton Coples stripped a stumbling Cam Newton, leading to Mark Sanchez and the offense taking over at the Panthers 12-yard line.Looking to finally reach pay...

Sanchez edges Tebow in Madden 13

Say what you will about the wild, shirtless affair that has been the non-quarterback battle for the New York Jets. The final authority has spoken, and unless Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow are going to be facing each other on an NFL field anytime, Madden 2013 will have the ruling on who the better quarterback is. Sanchez has a better player rating and gets the starting spot for the...

The Jets are in trouble with their anemic offense

The New York Jets have a major problem. They've played three preseason games, and they still haven't put the ball in the endzone. At this point, it's hard to imagine Tony Sparano feeling comfortable about his job security as the Jets prepare for their final preseason game against the Eagles. Last night's game against Carolina showed us a few things. First...

Wayne Hunter Traded, Jets Acquire Jason Smith

After a tumultuous run as the Jets habitually criticized and scrutinized starting Right Tackle, Wayne Hunter has seen his last days in New York. The Jets have agreed to send the struggling Tackle to the St. Louis Rams in exchange for fellow Tackle, Jason Smith. Smith, the 2nd overall selection in the 2009 NFL Draft, was heavily touted coming out of Baylor, but has failed to live...

Tim Tebow takes aim at the Panthers. The 2012 NFL Preseason has essentially come and gone for the New York Jets starters, with only one exhibition game left before the September 9th battle against the Buffalo Bills. When looking back at all the action (if you could call it that) of the Jets preseason, many people are left to draw their own harsh conclusions. But let’s be real,...

Jets waive seven players

The Jets trimmed their roster to 80 players by waiving guard Terrence Campbell, long snapper Derek Chard, defensive tackle Matt Hardison, cornerback LeQuan Lewis, safety Marcus Lott and wide receivers Dexter Jackson and Raymond Webber. Campbell, Hardison and Lott were undrafted rookies. Chard, Lewis and Webber were signed as free agents and Jackson was signed to a reserve/future...

Jets circus continues

Another day, another ridiculous story out of Jets camp. The media spin that surrounds the Jets is truly something to behold with Tebow in town, and a few weeks ago the scorn turned towards the right tackle of all people. Wayne Hunter was struggling in camp, that was no question, but it suddenly became the most right tackle spot in the league. Only in New York. ...

Jets send right tackle Wayne Hunter to Rams

It has been a whirlwind week for New York Jets tackle Wayne Hunter. The veteran lineman went from New York's public enemy No. 1, to the St. Louis Rams newest right tackle.

Thoughts at Halftime

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- It may have taken three preseason games, but the Jets offense has finally showed up to the stadium. After averaging 4.3 yards per play over the course of their first two preseason games, the Jets had three plays of 20 or more yards -- a sign that the team is moving forward with positive yardage.Yes, they still have yet to find the end zone. But it's a...
