Found August 16, 2012 on Waiting For Next Year:
According to his twitter-feed, New Albany sports anchor Andrew Catalon will be stepping in for Jim Donovan during tonight’s Browns vs Packers preseason game-
Jim Donovan is a little under the weather, so I will be pinch-hitting on WKYC tonight for Browns-Packers at Lambeau. Get well soon, Jim. — Andrew Catalon (@AndrewCatalon) August 16, 2012
We do not know anything about Donovan’s condition. Donovan of course missed three months last year due to treatment for Leukemia. He has looked very good at training camp in WFNY’s opinion. Hopefully this illness tonight is completely unrelated. Andrew Catalon replaced Donovan in the booth for the Browns’ preseason games last year.

Never forget Josh Cribbs’ difficult NFL path

Admittedly, Josh Cribbs has been a bit schizophrenic in public lately. Last year he talked about needing to get back to his special teams roots. Since then it’s been a bit frantic trying to figure out whether Josh Cribbs wants to play receiver or if the team wants him to play there either. All the while, Josh Cribbs seemed to be saying that he might just speak up later this year...

Good signs for Browns in pre-season win

Theres no sense sugarcoating that Cleveland Browns performance in preseason Game 2 Thursday night. That was a good effort. Never mind that Green Bay treated the game like a scrimmage and the Browns starters played more than the Packers its been a long time since so much positive came out of a game. The Packers may have seemed woefully disinterested, but it was a game the Browns...

Cleveland Browns Face Different Struggles In 2012 Training Camp

After one preseason game, the Browns now know what kinds of things they need to work on as the regular season approaches. What they also now know is, some things may be out of their control to work on. Take, for instance, the curious case of Mohammad Massoquoi. Massoquoi took one hit in last Friday’s game, and promptly was removed from the game for precautionary reasons related...

Weeden solid as Browns beat Packers

Rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden showed improvement in his second preseason game, avoiding major mistakes as the Cleveland Browns beat the Green Bay Packers 35-10 at Lambeau Field on Thursday night. Aaron Rodgers looked sharp in limited action, but backup quarterback Graham Harrell was shaky for the Packers. Weeden, a first-round pick out of Oklahoma State who already has been...

Smell the air. Tilt your head back, stick your nose in the air & sniff. Take a deep breath. It’s that beautiful smell of Week 2 of the NFL preseason. Tonight’s games: Cincinnati at Atlanta, 8 p.m.; Cleveland at Green Bay, 8 p.m. Bud Shaw, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, is already trying to tell Browns’ fans that Brandon Weeden might not be their savior. Ouch. Remember,...

Cleveland Browns 2012: It's Going to be a Rough Season!

The Cleveland Browns football team has not had a great road since inducted back into the National Football League after a three year hiatus leading up to 1999. With a lackluster 54 wins since the team posted back in Cleveland, there is much to be desired for the franchise. Obviously, stats lead us to know that there is no reason to revisit what Cleveland has not accomplished in...
