The Seattle Seahawks have had more suspensions related to performance-enhancing drug use since 2011 than other other team in the NFL. Five Seahawks players have been disciplined for violating the league’s PED policy since December 2011, with cornerback Richard Sherman winning an appeal during that time. Jim Harbaugh has used the recent run of suspensions on the division rival Seattle Seahawks for performance-enhancing drug infractions as a reminder to his own San Francisco team: Cheating won't be tolerated.
Harbaugh's reigning NFC champion 49ers had begun their three-day minicamp Tuesday when the coach was asked about the issue surrounding the Seahawks.
According to CSNBayArea.com, after working out for the 49ers on Thursday, free agent wide receiver Austin Collie left San Francisco without a contract.
“It’s still ongoing,” 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said. “There are still a few more things we want to have checked out.”
Harbaugh was asked if they’ll add another receiver for training camp.
“Yeah, it’s a possibility...
San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh and Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll have had an ongoing dislike for each other since Harbaugh was at Stanford, and Carroll was at USC.
That dislike has ratcheted up a ton since both teams are rivals in the same division, and both teams engaged in an arms race this off-season via the draft and free agency.

Former San Francisco 49ers great Roger Craig believes his former team will become the next great NFL dynasty under head coach Jim Harbaugh.
“I’m going on the record saying the 49ers win two Super Bowls in the next eight years,” Craig said last week. “They’ll be the winningest team in the next decade.”
Craig compares Harbaugh to Bill Walsh.
“He’s my kind of coach,”...

Harbaugh responded by saying, “At some point.”
It certainly doesn’t sound like the 49ers are expecting Manningham to be ready. Don’t be surprised if he lands on the PUP list heading into the...
San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman and head coach Jim Harbaugh are very happy with what they’ve seen from second-year receiver A.J. Jenkins.
“A.J. I thought, the last two days of last week (OTA) had the best two days he’s had since I’ve been here. Quinton Patton and Ricardo Lockette – they’re all stepping up. And it’s just going to be a continuing...

With the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers both making the playoffs last year, the NFC West rivalry has grown more intense over the last twelve months. The match up between the two teams may be growing a bit stronger after...
49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh didn’t have a problem ripping the Seahawks for their numerous failed PED tests over the past year or so.
“I’ve definitely noticed it,” Harbaugh said, via the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat. “You don’t know what it is. Even when people say what it is, you don’t know that that’s what it is. I’ve heard this thrown out or that, but that’s...

In each year since Jim Harbaugh became head coach of the Niners, he has dealt with significant player losses due to injury. In his first year, the team lost wide receiver Josh Morgan to a broken leg. The following year, the team lost wide receivers Mario Manningham and Kyle Williams to harsh injuries as well. Now facing his upcoming third season in...
