Jim Harbaugh said in his press conference something he wanted to say for a while, “Finally I can put my guy in.”  He said he’s going with the hot hand, but what ever happened to the guy who got his head knocked? Alex Smith has only gone a year and a half of quarterbacking one of the most successful teams in the NFL. Let’s start with Colin Kaepernick - he had a very good night against a Chicago Bear team that wasn’t into it, and quite frankly isn’t that good to begin with let alone, without Jay Cutler. So to completely disregard his injured starter, who was 6-2 when he went down was a true indicator that Smith’s days are numbered in San Francisco. However, if Harbaugh could have kept the stiffy in his pants long enough, maybe he could have had a better situation than a controversy. • good smith makes us worry if hes throwing a interception or hell fumble keapernick is by far a better QB
  • I wouldnt trust Harbough as far as I could throw him. What a two faced idiot. And to say this, the guy has got a screw loose. Loyalty is part of being an American. Harbough doesnt look to have any of that ingredient.
  • Loyalty is part of being American? Competition, best man for the job, best player plays- That is American, and your,"Loyalty is part of being an American" is idiotic
  • You're a moron. Unamerican? Not worth the effort to reply to that stupid comment. Grow up, Sonny.....this ain't Pop Warner football!
  • Love the 49ers, love Harbaugh - but think he is making a huge mistake by casting "all in" with Kaep.

I looked at last weeks stats and noticed that Chad Henne, of all people, had a fantastic day. And he's just an average, at best, QB. Hopefully Kaepernick isn't a one shot wonder.
You just don't know - but we do know that Alex Smith is a proven winner on this team.
