One Bay Area reporter made a big mistake on Friday when he asked 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh about Kyle Williams’ fumbles during last year’s NFL title game.
“We don’t, we don’t … why’d you bring that up?” he asked, via Mat Barrows of The Sacramento Bee. “Why would we be talking about that? When is enough enough?”
“I should ask you, why did you bring that up?” Harbaugh said, staring down the reporter. “Why do you continue to ask that question? What is the reasoning?”
I understand why the reporter asked the question, since there’s a good chance Williams will be returning punts on Sunday with Ted Ginn Jr. likely out with an injury, But it’s time to leave the Williams’ mistakes in the past.

David Akers of the San Francisco 49ers tied the NFL record for longest field goal when he hit a 63-yard field goal to end the half to put the 49ers up 16-7 over the Green Bay Packers. David Akers joined the ranks of Tom Dempsey (1970), Jason Elam (1998), and Sebastian Janikowski (2011) for the record of longest NFL field goal. You can view the video below.

Aaron Rodgers is a man who wants to let bygones be bygones.
Rodgers sat in the green for hours during the 2005 NFL while his quarterback counterpart for Sundays season opener, Alex Smith went no 1 overall.
Rodgers has gone on to win a super bowl, make people in Green Bay forget about Brett Favre, and one and NFL MVP award.
Alex Smith on the other hand has battled coaching...
After the ball clunked off of the cross bar and went forward, David Akers tied the NFL record for the longest field goal at 63 yards. His reaction was priceless, as was those of his teammates. Not only did they act like he helped them win the Super Bowl, but he looked completely shocked. The video is below:

Alex Smith played well enough in 2011 to bring the 49ers to the NFC Championship game, but he received little credit along the way. In a league where throwing for over 4,000 yards and 30 touchdown passes has become the standard, Smith put together a modest stat line of 3,144 yards and 17 touchdowns. He threw only five interceptions all year, which has resulted in his being labeled...
Thanks to our friends at CosbySweaters.com we have this wonderful footage of 49ers tight end Vernon Davis attempting to dunk a football after scoring a touchdown.
San Francisco running back Brandon Jacobs is questionable for Sunday's game against Green Bay with a knee injury after missing Friday's practice.Fantasy Spin:Even if Jacobs is 100 percent, he probably won't hold much fantasy value this season in the 49ers' crowded backfield. Frank Gore should gain value with Jacobs absence as he'll be the goal line back over either...
San Francisco 49ers: The Niners have a great defense and an immaculate rushing offense. The problem is they have lots of mouths to feed in the backfield. Early reports have come out that they will have more of a dread running back by committee situation in San Francisco. Alex Smith is not an elite fantasy quarterback but the Niners have brought in some weapons to help him get to...
San Francisco's punchless offensive attack was given a dramatic upgrade. While they might feature Frank Gore as much as previous seasons, the 49ers have the potential to move the ball in every way imaginable. With no tendencies to study, the 49ers are leaving Dom Capers in a bit of a bind.
A matchup that so many wanted in the NFC Championship fell short thanks to the New York Giants winning their second Super Bowl in the last five seasons.
However, the 49ers defense against the Packers offense is a dream matchup that will be given to the nation to see in the opening weekend.
Patrick Willis, Navarro Bowman and Justin Smith (Aldon Smith All-Rookie) were all on the All...
