Colorful Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has fans waiting in anticipation for his next tweet, just as planned. Irsay tweeted Saturday that the Colts have been working on a deal for five days, and they were "very, very, very close" to making it happen, Dan Hanzus of NFL.com writes. His next hint on his magical mystery ride was that it could be a wide receiver. So naturally, fans had visions of salsa dancing in their heads. He followed that tweet up with describing the potential signing as a "whopper." But not so fast Indy fans. "It's not Cruz, no," Irsay stated at the NFL Annual Meeting Sunday night, reports Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star. #colts owner Jim Irsay to media at owners' meetings:‏"it's not (Victor) Cruz, no". So that's one name to cross off the list. — Mike Chappell (@mchappell51) March 17, 2013

The Colts definitely tapped the free agent market, but they didn’t ever seem to look for the top names on the market. Compounding the problem, they paid...
