Special teams coach Joe DeCamillis is familiar with Allen Rossum from their days together in Atlanta, and he was more than happy to have the chance to work with him again after San Francisco cut the veteran return specialist on Monday. DeCamillis pointed to a 40-yard kick return against Minnesota and a 70-yard touchdown return against Seattle that was called back. "We felt like he still had a lot of juice," DeCamillis said. "He's a guy we feel like is a difference maker." DeCamillis stressed the move was not made in reaction to the struggles of punt returners Patrick Crayton (one fumble) and Terence Newman (bad decision). With Felix Jones coming back from an injury and Miles Austin expected to see more time at wide receiver, the Cowboys needed kick return help.
