I see why Joe Flacco is often referred to as Joe Cool. While his name is being tossed around thanks to his agent Joe Linta, Flacco finds a way to remain loyal to both parties, while downplaying his agent’s comments.
After Flacco’s agent Joe Linta sparked controversy following his remarks about the Ravens organization being “dumb” for not reaching a decision to sign the quarterback the following year, Flacco spoke with BaltimoreRavens.com to clear up the air.
“Obviously I don’t feel that way,” Flacco told the Ravens website Wednesday afternoon. “I think he probably got a little excited about it. I like Joe’s fire, and I like that he’s trying to protect me in any way. But in no way do I have those feelings towards the organization. I thought the whole time there was respect on both sides and there will continue to be.””
“I think the good thing about the whole process was that when we were negotiating the deal, there was always respect,” Flacco said. “I had respect for them with the deal they offered, and I think they respected my decision to not take it. I think throughout the whole process, it’s been very good.”
After winning the Super Bowl and receiving a large payday, many critics will be waiting for a chance to say “I told you so.” The last thing Flacco needs at this time is added pressure before the football is even snapped especially from his agent.

Baltimore Ravens speed merchant Torrey Smith is becoming one of the most respected voices on his team.
As such, he is laying down his agenda for success. It is one that does not include the addition of another veteran wideout as suggested by GM Ozzie Newsome.

Jacoby Jones' next dance will come after he scores a touchdown for the Baltimore Ravens.
After finishing third in ''Dancing With The Stars,'' Jones returned to the football field Friday for a voluntary offseason training activity. Instead of doings dips and spins, the wide receiver caught passes from quarterback Joe Flacco.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Ravens tight end Ed Dickson is signing his restricted free agent tender today. Like fellow Ravens restricted free agent tight end Dennis Pitta and defensive lineman Arthur Jones, Dickson didn’t garner contract proposals from other NFL teams prior...

The Baltimore Ravens have re-signed TE Ed Dickson to a 1 Year, $1.32 million deal. Dickson failed to draw an offer sheet before the April 19th deadline, so he was never leaving the Ravens anyways, but he finally has signed the deal to put him on the field in a Ravens uniform for one more year.
Dickson caught just 21 passes for 225 yards and no touchdowns to finish with a disappointing...

Joe Flacco recently became a very rich man, and much of the credit for his newfound wealth can be attributed to his agent Joe Linta.
Linta spent a few months haggling out the details of Flacco’s new deal with the Baltimore Ravens earlier this offseason, but ran into some turmoil along the way. Now, looking back on how the deal went down, Linta isn’t holding back his thoughts...
