Joe Namath has tried to be nice to the Jets. But like an ex-girlfriend who just never seems to get over a mutual breakup, he just can’t pull it off. Namath has flip-flopped on his stance regarding the Jets so many times over the past year that it would be fair to wonder if he’s starting to get senile. During an interview with Adam Schein on SiriusXM NFL Radio Wednesday, he was back to ripping his former team. “I’m concerned with how the Jets are trying to build a team and win a championship,” Namath said according to Schein’s Twitter account. “They seem more interested in the headlines.” That stance is consistent with the way Namath reacted after the Jets traded for Tim Tebow, calling it a “tremendous distraction” that the team would regret.
