Found December 26, 2012 on Awful Announcing:
PLAYERS: Tim Tebow
TEAMS: New York Jets

Taking sides on Tim Tebow has turned into the great cottage industry of the sports media.  While some have made quite a career out of blindly and ignorantly staking what little integrity was left of their own career driving the Tebow bandwagon (see: Bayless, Skip), others have attempted to take the opposite flank in hopes of making a similar name for themselves.   ESPN NFL analyst Merril Hoge has been the loudest and most vociferous Tebow basher in Bristol over the last couple years, but he thankfully hasn't been rewarded with the international infamy of his ESPN counterpart, Skip Bayless.  (Evidently there's only room for one ESPNer to make a career out of TebowMania.) Hoge has criticized Tebow for everything from his running and passing to which side of the bed he gets out of in the morning.  Most recently Hoge took his attacks down to a personal level, because criticizing Tebow's play on the field just wasn't getting the job done anymore and Tebow has barely seen the field this year.  Hoge called Tebow as "phony as a three dollar bill" this week because of WildcatGate, which created another controversy filled Tebow news cycle for ESPN, or as the folks in Bristol call it - nirvana.  Whether or not Tebow quit on the Jets or the Jets quit on Tebow, the media can't quit on either. Hoge's "analysis" when it comes to Tebow is nothing short of the promo a professional wrestling villain cuts to try to get the home crowd to boo him.  He's *this close* to calling Tebow supporters fat, out of shape, inner city sweat hogs.   Sticking up for Tim Tebow isn't the most popular stand to take at the moment.  However, one brave man has finally seen enough and decided to stand up to Merril Hoge and his repeated bashing of the Jets third string quarterback.  That man is...  Hollywood actor Josh Duhamel? Hollywood actor Josh Duhamel. The best part about this tweet isn't Josh Duhamel cussing out Merril Hoge.  It isn't even Duhamel shoving it in Hoge's face that Tebow was and always will be 10 times the player he was.  It's the fact that Josh Duhamel feels the need to tell Merril Hoge it is in fact Josh Duhamel tweeting him.  It's not like the @JoshDuhamel Twitter handle, name,  picture, and fancypants blue checkmark wouldn't have given that away before.  As if it would turn Merril Hoge's world upside down for anyone of note to actually notice what he says.   Where else but Twitter could a Hollywood actor curse out an ESPN analyst for his thoughts on Tim Tebow for all the world to see?  God I love these times in which we live. The Jets refuse to start Tim Tebow at QB, even in the last game of the season. Week 17 preview.

The Jets are going back to Sanchez instead of giving Tebow a chance. Entering the last week of the season I'm sitting at 153-87.  That's ok but not great.  I'd like to be over 170 for the season, but it is what it is at this point.  Let's finish strong. With teams resting players and teams out, I'll also take a look at the postseason and offseason...

Is Tebow becoming a cancer in the Jets locker room?

There are numerous stories coming out of Jets camp saying that Tebow refused to play the “wildcat” quarterback position this week, which is why former high school quarterback Jeremy Kerley played the position.  Is this the true story coming out of Jets camp? Since Tim Tebow has come in the league he has said he would be willing to do anything to help the team, and he has shown...

Jets, Rex Ryan Are ‘Sabotaging Tim Tebow’s Career,’ as Seen in Latest NMATV Clip (Video)

As if the Jets weren’t having a tough enough season as it is, the fine folks at Next Media Animation have created a new clip about how the franchise is “sabotaging” a young and lovable star’s career. As clearly explained in the NMATV video below, Tim Tebow, who was brought over in a trade in the offseason, was slated as the second-string quarterback behind starter Mark Sanchez...

Tim Tebow was part of a manger scene for Christmas

Someone made this manger scene complete yesterday for their Christmas Holiday. It included a Tim Tebow who happened to be Tebowing right by a manger with the usual Christmas decoration. Tebow has recently been under fire by some sports personalities for refusing to run the wildcat for the New York Jets that never really utilized him. It has been rumored that a trade of Tim Tebow...

Not buying Tim Tebow’s Wildcat denial

Three days after a report was published saying Tim Tebow told the New York Jets coaches that he didn’t want to be a part of the team’s Wildcat offensive package last week, the quarterback issued a firm denial. “I never said, ‘Hey, I don’t want to do anything or I won’t do anything,’” Tebow told reporters Wednesday, via the Associated Press. “That wasn’t the talk...

Taiwanese Animators Gag On Tebow And The Jets

It’s a given that when the delirious, topical foreigners over at Next Media Animation tackle an NFL-related story, it gets posted on KSK. That’s not because NMA Media has a very keen understanding of the NFL. Quite the contrary. Take this video, for instance. They’re portraying Tim Tebow as a heroic figure wronged by a spiteful Rex Ryan, when in reality Tebow is just another...

Why can't Tebow play quarterback?

The biggest lie circulating about Tim Tebow is not that he is selfish. It is that he cannot play. Says who? Jets coach Rex Ryan? ESPN talker Merril Hoge? One is at the helm of the biggest hot mess going in the NFL at the moment, and the other has a thing for Tebow that feels almost uncomfortable. Hoge uses whatever Tebow does, from jogging shirtless to eating a hamburger from a...

Tim Tebow Told Rex Ryan He Wants to Play ‘Regular Quarterback’ in Meeting

The Jets’ quarterback saga just refuses to end. After last weekend’s decisive 27-17 loss to the San Diego Chargers, it looks like things can’t get much worse for New York. On top of the loss, itself, third-string quarterback Greg McElroy went down with an injury, and is listed as questionable for Week 17. So, could Tim Tebow or Mark Sanchez get that last start? Well, one place...

NFL Rumors: While The Media Still Obsesses Over Him, Clearly, Rex Ryan Hates Tim Tebow

The media world will apparently always obsess over New York Jets third string quarterback Tim Tebow. Never has a player who cannot even start on a terrible team drawn so much attention without committing a crime. Yet, despite the fact that Tebow continues to sit as one awful quarterback after another makes a start for the woeful Jets in another lost season. Clearly, regardless of...

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan said yesterday that quarterback Greg McElroy is dealing with an abdominal injury, putting into question whether Tim Tebow or Mark Sanchez will see playing time in the team’s season finale against the Buffalo Bills, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. Via multiple reports, Ryan said Wednesday that McElroy has an abdominal issue.  (Given...

Jets’ Quarterback Debacle, Joe Flacco’s Un-Elite Play Among Top 10 NFL Disappointments This Season (Photos)

Another day, another controversy for the New York Jets. This time, it’s another change under center for Gang Green, with Mark Sanchez re-taking the starting job from injured Greg McElroy (and Rex Ryan once again passing over Tim Tebow). In a season filled with ups and downs, New York has seen its fair share of downs, no doubt to the chagrin of the many onlookers who believed...

Greg McElroy hid concussion from Jets

Lost in the fray of the Jets' decision to reanoint Mark Sanchez and rebuff Tim Tebow was the issue of Greg McElroy's out-of-the-blue concussion. The second year signal-caller suffered the brain injury in Week 16, when he was sacked an astonishing 11 times. But he didn't want it to get out. ESPNNewYork.com reports that McElroy hid his concussion symptoms "for days...

New York Jets: 'Sexy-Rexy' Era Must Come to an End

This may come to a shock to most New York Jets fans, but quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow aren't to blame for the Jets demise. This is because there are two other individuals which has cost this team dearly.Yes, it's most definitely Rex Ryan and his incompetent counterpart Mike Tannenbaum. When the Jets lose to the Buffalo Bills in tomorrow's week 17 match-up hopefully...

ESPN - The New York Jets' three-quarterback circus turned surreal Thursday morning, when Rex Ryan announced that Greg McElroy was being evaluated for a possible concussion and won't play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills in the season finale.
