It has been no secret that Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee has been the teams most effective offensive weapon this season.
Scobee, who has made all 14 of his field goal attempts this season including five from over 50 yards, was named special-teams player of the week in the AFC for his performance against the Ravens on Monday night. His power and accuracy gives the Jaguars a legitimate chance to score every time they cross midfield.
He is no stranger to hot starts. Last season Scobee also started the season making his first 14 field goal attempts before struggling down the stretch missing six of his final 14 attempts.
His hot start this season will surely make him a leading candidate to make his first trip to the Pro Bowl, but he will need to find a way to remain consistent for the entire season.
However, Scobee is kicking for more than the Pro Bowl this season. He becomes a free agent at the end of this season and a Pro Bowl season would help him in negotiations for a new contract.

Del Rio and Kubiak Both On the Hot Seat
It's not set in stone, but most feel that both Gary Kubiak and Jack Del Rio have to reach the postseason to keep their jobs. It's more than likely that only one team will qualify, if any, so Sunday's game is extremely important.
