In the four days since former Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher's murder-suicide, new details have continually emerged from the tragic case.

The latest may be the most disturbing.

On Wednesday, the 911 call made by Belcher's mother, Cheryl Sheppard, was released. In it, Sheppard frantically pleads for help shortly after her son shot his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins, in front of their 3-month-old daughter.

"She's still breathing but please hurry," Shepherd says. "I don't know how he (inaudible), they were arguing, please hurry."

Sheppard begged the 22-year-old Perkins, who was "just barely" awake, to stay alive.

"Stay with me, the ambulance is on the way. Stay with me Kasandra, stay with me," Shepherd yells.

When asked by a police dispatcher of Belcher's whereabouts, Sheppard simply says, "he left." Police arrived at the couple's home around 7:50 a.m. and discovered Perkins' body, which had suffered multiple gun-shot wounds.

Belcher then drove to drove to Arrowhead Stadium. There, the distraught 25-year-old thanked GM Scott Pioli and coach Romeo Crennel for all they had done, knelt down behind a vehicle and took his life.

TMZ got a hold of the audio of the 911 call, which I've embedded below. As it is very tough to listen to, play at your own risk.
