The Kansas City Chiefs were oh, so close to being a great team for many years, but lately, success has been minimal. This has started to grate on some fans, like it does. One of them took to Twitter to declare his disgust, claiming that owner Clark Hunt is a cheapskate in the most polite manner possible (Actually, it wasn’t pleasant). The individual monitoring the Chiefs Twitter feed sent him a direct message.
Well, not exactly a mature way of handling it by the Chiefs, eh? Of course, the fan was insulted and it ended up on Reddit, because that is what you do (I have never used Reddit). This led to a pretty embarrassing fallout for the Chiefs, who forced the employee who sent the direct message to apologize. He did so publicly on Twitter:
I apologize to the fans for my response to a tweet sent to me earlier. No excuse for my actions. I am truly sorry and it won't happen again.

The fan, Travis Wright, doesn’t seem to pleased with it, as the Chiefs didn’t apologize to him personally.
“The funny thing about [the apology] is that I personally didn’t see it,” Wright said. “They didn’t apologize to me, they apologized to everyone else because of the backlash.”
Wright has been blocked by the Chiefs Twitter account.
