Andy Reid and Dwayne Bowe (Photo credit: Michael Perez/AP) The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos don’t play for the first time until Week 11. Both of these teams have a chance at being unbeaten when that AFC West showdown in Denver comes up. Cake walk schedules The Chiefs have a realistic chance because of their schedule. Only two of Kansas City’s opponents between now and Week 11, Houston and Tennessee, currently have a winning record. Both of those teams have shown that they are quite beatable. The Chiefs other four opponents between now and that Denver game are a combined 3-9. To make it even more convenient for Kansas City, the Chiefs get four of the next six games at home. The Broncos’ schedule from Week Four through Week 11 is almost as easy as the Chiefs’. The combined record of their next six opponents so far this season is 6-12. Denver also only faces two teams with a current winning record, Dallas and Indianapolis. While the Broncos play three of these six games on the road, they should be favored in all six games. Numbers never lie More evidence comes up to support that both of these teams could be undefeated in Week 11 when you look at their numbers. The Chiefs are eighth in the league in total defense and lead the league in sacks and turnovers forced. While the offense continues to improve, the Kansas City defense can make whatever points the offense does score be enough to win. The Broncos are not only having a record-setting year on offense but also lead the league in rushing defense. Of course, part of the reason for that is because opponents have had to abandon their running games to try to keep up with the points Denver is scoring. Two more facts that could play into these teams making 9-0 happen are the fact that neither of these teams through four games have turned the ball over and that both of these teams have shown an ability to get a lead and then close the door on opponents. It’s completely possible that one or both of these teams could have a bad game between now and Week 11. For any team in the NFL to win nine games in a row is tough regardless of how good a team it is or how bad their opponents are. The odds are that 9-0 for both teams won’t happen, but it’s certainly possible. Read more here
